Lin, if I had that pool area, you would always know where to find me. I'd say that's living to see and experience on a daily basis. People save up and if they are lucky go on a vacation to enjoy what you have. Just beautiful and the plants all around look so inviting.
ibrabec, I think your plant is Champagne Pink but will know better when it blooms.
Planti...I'll have to go look up the violets you mentioned.
Gessiegail...love King Henry!
Sorry for the fading flowers on episcia Showtime.
May Flowers
I wish this was in bloom but Dean's Bunny Blue has pretty symmetrical foliage. Also grown from a leaf as are all my violets which are few right now. I used to grow mostly violets for years but veered off into streps as my focus lately but prefer the mix. I like episcias also for the top shelves.
Dean's Bunny Blue (8016) 01/03/1994 (C. Hobbs/H. Hobbs) Double light blue pansy. Mosaic variegated green, white and pink, heart-shaped. Semiminiature
GL,
They are all beauties!! Susan also sent me Ramblin' Amethyst and Ramblin' Klatz starts.I can't find any description of Klatz anywhere.I guess these will remaim mysteries until they bloom.
I've never heard of that 'Klatz' one in all my years.
Me either! Can someone see if it is listed in FC?
Oh, Goldleaf, I want to learn to grow violets with the ease you do.........they still panic me. I looked on First Class which is updated and there is no Klatz registered.........sorry.......
klatz well when you get it going good, save me a leaf or two,i like trailers, alot and love the rambling ones,
GL i love your deans its almost mosiac looking,(i used to grow it and like it too
JIM
Hi,
I wanted to ask a favor of all of you ^_^ As most of you know I lost everything on puter and that also means my URL for my streps... Can some of you send me good sites to go to ??? It would help as I still have to get some more programs off internet set up... Thank you all ahead of time...
Hugs,
Susan
The only trailer I can think of that has an A-L-T-Z (no K) is Sunrise Waltz. Maybe, ibrabec? Post a pic later.
Wouldn't it be funny if it was Ramblin' Klutz? Whoops!
Thank you so much as that one is my favorite site.... I could not figure out what its name was..... Thank you so much
Hugs,
Susan
LOL..It could be Klutz...since I have it ^_^. I could take a picture, but between Pink Champagne,Ramblin' Amethyst and Klatz, there is really only a little difference.I need to wait until they get out of the baby stage.
Gail, thank you so much for looking for me!!
Jim,I will certainly save you a leaf of anything!!
Lynn
I don't see it on First Class, Nichole.
Congrats on growing Nyaka......I always had trouble with her........her leaves were so small............
Syru--looks like what you have is Rob's Pink Satin

yeah for phoebe!!! I didn't even think of looking there.......must be a real new one if she is not on First Class yet..........
Oh, and I can't click on that link from work . . . will have to wait until I get home . . . will search for another pic . . . thanks Phoebe!!!
Check my edits!
Thanks, phoebe . . . it's something with the steverd site the firewall here doesn't approve of . . . the DG link works, though. I am SO glad Gail has put in descriptions for so many varieties! I will go home and take a closer look at the leaves, to see if they are heart shaped . . . that pic didn't have the best angle . . .
Now you can add the pic!
Rob's Pink Satin (7172) 08/29/1989 (R. Robinson) Semidouble light pink. Crown variegated medium green, heart-shaped, serrated. Semiminiature
I can't remember how to get the picture.......I used to know..........
The leaf does look a bit serrated . . . thanks, Gail! I'll take a better pic when I get home, and have that added, then. Gotta remember to correct the label, too! ^_^
Great pictures,Nichole!
I can't see very well . . . is that first pic variegated?
Gail--that looks more like Ness' Satin Rose--which took best in show at Maavs last fall.
I got the pictures from First Class of Rob's Pink Satin???????? I know very little about avs
Me neither Gail--I looked at both plants several times today, b/c when I googled Ness' Pink Satin, both Rob's Plnk Satin and Ness' Satin Rose came up. Rob's was the one with leaf variegation in a couple of sources. Maybe all this talk of pink and satin confused FC2...It's making me dizzy! :-O
You guys are so nice to do all this research for me while I'm at work!
You're still at work?!
Until 7pm CST, M-F . . . I guess it's ok that I don't start until 10am . . . would like that to change, though . . ^_^
Those hours kinda kill the day--not enough time before or after work to do much...
I have to keep my fingers away from the computer on the DG Marketplace right now........The last thing I need are streps, but you ought to see the price for great streps by a great grower.........yikes, this is hard for me not to buy (LOL)
I always hated that shift. It kind of kills both ends of the day, especially in winter, when it gets dark at 5 .
Lynn
Thanks for the tip Gail!
Lynn, where Nichole works it is still very light outside..........it doesn't get dark until 9 anyway.........
But I once lived in the mountains of New Mexico and it got dark by the time I picked up the kids at school at 4pm.........
