Everyones pictures are so pretty... Nic, you grow girl and I am so happy for you in all your wins..... My computer went crazy last week and I really did not have the money to put in shop and I still don't know what the heck was wrong with it but it came down to reformatting the hard drive... I lost all of my pictures and learned a very good thing as to not hold them on my puter like I have been... I lost my GKs birthdays,xmas,easter... I was heart broken over this... I did cry but what are you going to do??? So I will now download my pictures on to disc's more often.....
Ok have to go find some of my programs I use on the web... Once again Great Jobs ladies on growing...
Hugs,
Susan

Susan,
I will email you later tonight!
GL,That picture really doesn't do the plant justice. It has green, pink and white foliage. The blooms are pink with more of a rose edge.

GL,
Ramblin Dots is a cutie! I have a trailer that looks just like Champagne Pink (I haven't seen any blooms yet),but the foliage is very white and pink with just a little green. It's a very vigorous grower and probably a semi.Susan sent it to me,but we were not sure of it's name.It should set buds before long.
Yes,I think you,I and Phoebe would get along fine with violets ^_^.
Actually my favorite colors are oranges, corals, peaches, reds and yellows and very dark foliage, but I can't seem to resist some of those pinks and purples...LOL.
Lynn

(Lynn) Omaha, NE(Zone 5a)

Sorry Jim,I don't have that one.

(Zone 1)

Gracious, y'all are killing me with those gorgeous variegated violets! I LOVE variegated foliage! I don't know when or if I will ever get back into growing AV's, but I keep looking at pictures of my stands from two years ago and sometimes think I should make a list ... then I realize I just don't have the time and patience right now, LOL. I have a couple of Episcia's that I found out in my Florida room ... thought they were dead but they've re-sprouted. No labels anymore so I'm not sure which ones they are, they are looking pretty good so maybe I will get blooms in time. I still have Chirita's and some of them need re-potting desperately. One in particular has a very long neck. The leaves look pretty ratty on Chirita 'Dreamtime' but it has two buds. This will be a first bloom for me on that one. I got it in a trade with KimsKreations early last year. One of the other Chirita's has a bud too but I don't remember which one it is and am too lazy to go look, LOL.

Well, if we're talking variegated violets, here is the one plant I bought at the show/sale Saturday . . .

Shirl's Grape Lollipop

Love it! Are the blooms gonna be purple like a Grape Lollipop? ^_^ Yep ... I had to go to the AVSA site and check! Purple blooms.

Found another nice one ... Check out Shirl's Grape Ice! Beautiful! http://www.avsa.org/Photographs/Shirl'sGrapeIceLrg.jpg#http://../Photographs/Shirl'sGrapeIceLrg.jpg%23

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

No, I don't have Stormy Trail...sorry, Jim. Since I can't grow everything ;( I am going to stick with my favs the variegated ones.

Laughing at you, ibrabec! I think it would be easier for you to say you like them all ^_^. Just teasing you. I do agree though that I like the very dark red reverse leaves, glossy is preferred and of course variegated is most liked by me as I can enjoy the plant all of the time. Looking forward to your mystery violet.

Lin, all you have to say if and when you are ready to start growing again. I can understand with your lovely Florida climate wanting to be outdoors tending to all the beautiful plants you have outside.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Nichole.............who in Texas hybridized that plant? I will look at first class under the Shirls and see what i can find.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Shirley was a member of my club before I joined. She passed away. This is one of the plants she hybridized. I got two other Shirl plants this weekend . . . I'll have to go see which ones.

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

I love that violet, syrumani.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

That's a real purty violet Syru!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

What a great thread this is...I missed it before for some reason. Love all the pictures of your show, Syrumani! Congratulations :)

I'm crazy about those pink and white variegated violets! I've got a couple leaves coming this week of Handmade, Flashy Angel, DECELLE'S ARCTICA (just white and green leaves), Apache Daydream and Champagne Halo.

NUMMY!!

Williston, ND

I think my favorite violets are trailers, wasps, mosiac ,chimeras but maybe not in that order, ive got a really neat witch doctor that i adore,
its really looking good since ive transplanted it and put it on wicking and matting, ive got a few others too,

GL--I just found Champagne Pink in the new LLG catalog--Hmmmm.......
Just wondering--what do you plant you trailers in? I've got several that are about to outgrow their Solo cups and I know they prefer shallow containers--but don't have anything like that, I think.

Ummm....can I use your pool? Pleeeeze?

(lol)

(Zone 1)

LOL, Someone should use it! I'm not much of a swimmer and it doesn't get used much anymore. My nieces and nephews swam all the time when they were young and my Mom loved it when she came to visit. Now all the kids are grown and gone. I think I went in once last year and we went swimming a lot after the 2004 Hurricanes when we were without power for a week! No air conditioning and it was so hot and humid, the pool was a relief! At that time I called it my bathtub. ^_^ My husband took pictures of me in my bathing suit, sitting on the top step of the pool, shaving my legs! I hope all those pic's have been destroyed!

The area surrounding the pool I call my playground!

OK,GL,go ahead and laugh ^_^. I confess I am a hopeless plant junkie and I am not interested in kicking the habit!!
Syru,That's a very pretty violet!!
Gotta go take a picture of the baby that looks like Champagne Pink.

Gail,
That's a really nice Strep.I have been looking on the marketplace, but I must be looking under the wrong section??
Lynn

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

Lynn - when you go to the Marketplace, just type in Strep in the search box, and the results will pop up . . . ^_^

There was only one result when I did that, and here is the link: http://davesgarden.com/products/market/view/6624/

Thanks,Syru!! I found only that one listing also, but several of them I already have.Although I don't have babies yet,I have 50 some different cultivars of leaves down,so it's hard to know what I will have in another month. So for right now I am trying to find leaves or babies that I know I don't have.I also have many Episcia stolons that are rooting or rooted,as well as AV leaves,so until I see what they do I am hesitant to order the same ones!
Lynn
