I am putting in aveggie garden this year and I remember having a difficult time with peppers and tomatoes years ago, only to learn that the tree about 20 feet away was toxic to these plants. Okay I am in a different home now and have a black walnut again-right smack dab in the middle of my yard. It is at the outside edge with 60 feet or so to the left and right. Does anyone know how far away would be safe? I need help fast as my husband is ready with rototiller. Thanks

Waiting impatiently with you for the answer....
How large is the tree's canopy?
