placenciarita, Good job on growing the King anthurium! I have held off on him due to what I have read via the net. I heard/read, that plant was more of a challenge than the Queen. You have a green thumb for sure!;-) Lovely Brom too. I have terrible luck with those plant's. I gave them up a few year's ago.
R.J. I need to take my hike up the mountain and dig you up some native fern's. I have not forgotten about you.
Anyone here growin the Cissus Amazonica vine?
Enjoying all the beautiful plant pic's everyone.

Tropical Garden #37
Cass,
Here I am..
Yes, I got it from Armando, bless his soul, and it sure has spines. It may not make any difference, but I have mine in very FULL sun and it's happy as a lark. It's growing like Armando's too, very thin in the center but a great canopy. Good luck with yours and watch out for the little bugs.

Har har har!!!! ; p
Sylvain, having lived in Canada most of your life, I would say you have paid your dues.
Good morning.
Christi
Oh, Princess... you are kind to this polar bear. I have always lived through zone 5 winters without any problem. I even embraced the cold, the snow, the freezing rain and all that comes with canadian winters. I was happy up there until Gail's arthritis forced us to move to gentler climes. Now, I can't see myself returning to these frigid conditions. I have finally come to the realization that man is a tropical animal that only lives in frigid conditions through extreme adaptions. I feel for those of us that still have to contend with cold weather.
Keep well.
Sylvain.
Cold weather to me is anything lower than 60. Boy, spoiled or what??

Thank you, Hettie. I now have 7 plums that are again potted for the season and they are all putting out new growth. Got them last year from the coop and one of them bloomed then. I was sooo thrilled. I would really like to plant them out this time and see if they do better. My soil is super worked and my other tropicals do beautifully. Of course, they would be pulled up and spend the winter on the shelf again next winter. What do you think?
Pu'ole, still waiting for that visit.
Christi
Rachel, of course you realize than when I say man, I meant the human species rather than the male of the species. I just know you did.
LouC, Gail is not up to traveling these days. I am not kidding you: we have no cruise planned and it's all right like that. As much fun as a trip to Texas may be, I'll have to pass on that for a while. Thank Him above for Dave's Garden.
Take care, all.
Sylvain.
