Hi everyone!
I'm starting on a gardening project on the side of my business. It's a 7x40 foot area. It will partially serve as a patio with pavers.
Because it is so shady in this area, I know that I am limited in my ground cover options. I need something low maintenance, fast growing and tight to the ground.
Can anyone give me suggestions on what to put here that will be okay (considering it will be used to lounge and eat lunch) and where I may be able to purchase seeds for growing it myself? Budget is key!
Thank you!
(here is a picture of what I'm dealing with!)
Low Ground Covering Options?
There's a great website www.stepables.com that has a search engine where you can put in your zone, sun/shade, how much foot traffic, etc and it'll tell you what groundcovers will work. Their prices are a bit on the high side so you don't necessarily want to buy the plants from them, but once you know the names of what will work well you can buy the plants or seeds from somewhere else.
I did check them out yesterday but I am having a hard time locating the seeds elsewhere. And because of the size of the area in question, I need more than a few packets!
But, Stepables did give me some great ideas.
Anyone know a great bulk seed supplier?
