Ditto....have fun. Your gardens are looking great! The fence and the teepee are great, gave me ideas.
rc...those colors are getting brighter and brighter.
Bea...outstanding pictures! I want that leprechaun columbine!! Love the orange pansy.
Sally..If I can harvest some seed on the leprechaun..I will share! keep ya posted . It is a neat one!
Everything is looking really good Judi, looks like your're having fun with it all. The purple thing growing over your rocks is Aubretia.
Bea, great pictures. Love the primula and Daffs.
Thanks Bea...seeing as how I'm Irish, gotta have that one. And if you do the seeds that would be great!!
So, I took most of these last weekend.
This is probably the first tree/shrub that I ever bought. About 9 years ago, before I started learning anything about plants, I asked a friend that owned a nursery for a recommendation for a small tree or shrub for this particular spot. She said 'oh there's the beautiful yellow magnolia, tulip flowered, that just came out a couple of years ago that would be perfect.' well, I saved my money and bought a pretty large one (for me anyhow) sine I knew it would take some time to bloom. It bloom for the first time 2 years ago.... 1 bloom! Last years snow wiped out lots of lovely buds on it. This is is the first year that mother nature has finally allowed the blooms to open. Good thing that I wasn't expecting a yellow magnolia huh?!?! lol. The funny thing is that a star magnolia is actually a much better height for that spot and I like them better anyhow! Honestly.... several years ago I really suspected with fair certainty that it was a star magnolia, so it actually was not a big surprise. but still funny to think about.
Red - my sister does like a few of the restaurants in Oakridge but I forget which ones. Also, she is one of those people who would complain in any situation. So I don't pay too much attention to her gripes!
The teepee and the herb garden fence I made out of branches and twigs from the stuff I had to trim. Easy.
This pic is one of the woodruff patches. Last fall it was just a few scruffy areas and now it has spread and grown so much, thanks to the great info I got here on DG! I think it was Red or Tills that suggested giving it a haircut and that really did the trick!
Judy Bea and Red your gardens are looking very impressive. Nice teepee too!
Hope you had yourself a sit-down on that bench. What a lovely spot!
Bea - looks like Euphorbia polychrome. nice spring colour!
I drive through Oakridge every Monday and Friday :)
I'm going to get my pictures out of my camera in a minute and get some up. Not much going on here because it's still too cold but I have a few good ones that I took with my new macro lens (I'll spare you the ones of my DH's nose and mustache.)
Back in a few. Ginger
That's a beautiful pink dogwood.
Nice pics Ginger. I envy you your macro. I wonder if I can justify getting one?
