Red camelia
garden Pics "This caught my eye today.....#2"
Thanks Bea. Love your tulips. All your pictures also.
I think it's been a good year for some things. My Bergenia are blooming like they never have before. I have one stalk that was left out on the ground last year, I think. It's perfectly happy and blooming away. I think they are from the mountains of Tibet or something like that.
Pretty pic of your deck Mom!
Willow, I like your weeping cherry, especially with the heather underneath. A lovely color combo! I also agree with Bea that your boys have grins that look like they have been up to something! Very nice pics of your flowers. Don't feel bad about your Bergenia..mine is even more pathetic, and hasn't bloomed for me for six years. I finally decided after looking at one that Mom has that does well, and one on the way to work that is a monster.....that mine may have been planted in an area that was just too wet for it. I moved it this year, and although still scrawny, it is getting a new leaf, so maybe that means that it is happier! If Kathy is right about the mountains, liking drier roots would make sense!
Beahive...still seriously drooling over your corydallis as well as Willow's. Maybe I should try one in a pot well out of slug reach!
It was a beautiful evening, and I managed to have time to get a few things done after work. Very happy that all of the new kids are in the ground (at least those that I have picked up so far... BG!). Going to the dry side of the state for a day or so tomorrow night, so didn't want to leave potted stuff unplanted. My Gerbera Daisy has not looked any worse for wear, even though it has gone through frost and been snowed on twice. Just couldn't resist the shredded petal look!
willow, I have the same primrose and love it. Have divided and propagated it, don't know how I first acquired it, but it is wonderful. RJ coveted it for a few years and now has a few starts of her own. It really makes the shade garden this time of year.
rc….I think it was the Trailhead Café where we ate, do they make their own bread?
That patriotic group just gets prettier all the time!
rj…glad you’re feeling better. Also glad you are getting an extended break, I know all about saving enough energy for making dinner, etc!! I usually shampoo carpets while he’s gone. Shove everything to one side, do that side, then shift the next day. Stop and grab something out of the freezer for dinner, I get mom stocked up ahead of time too. Or I just make something easy for the two of us. She’s like me, soup and crackers or a salad is great! I can get so much more done when I can work at my own pace and don’t have to drop everything to ‘run into town’ because he’s got cabin fever. LOL
Your big pond is coming along nicely, be sure to post pics when the island grows in. Beautiful mountain shot!
Love the periwinkle and those tulips sure did multiply!! Lovely color on them and the wallflower. Another one to think about.
Bea….lovely tulips!! Nice colors! Easy on that knee, it will heal faster. Beautiful corydalis. Cute puppies.
PNW….that tulip is so neat! Love the orange.
Willow….nice pics, wonderful colors. Love the erythronium.
Nice Pics all. It's great to see so much color from everyone!
PNWMG....It's all awash....some of us are ahead, some of us are behind. My anemones are ahead because I just bought them.!! But, I'm happy that they are ahead because it's something that looks good now. My wall flowers haven't opened yet.... but they're thinking about it!!! I love the tulips and the bowl/pot behind them!!
Bea..... cute gardenhelpers!
Rj..... Wonderful mountain picture! Keep posting them, I'll always look forward to mountain pictures. your front deck is looking great.
Sally, both the Trail head and Mannings cafe have homemade bread. Both restaurants are small, but one tiny. Mannings serves mostly "meat and potatoes" type food and has only 4 booths, 3 or 4 tables and bar stooles, all crammed into a room that is about 20' x 15'. The Trailhead is maybe 40' x 40', but has things like steamed rice with tofu and veggies, breakfast burritoes, etc. plus a few typicals hamburger type things.
glad that you like the anemones.... cause it's really all that I have for now. Probably more interesting stuff tomorrow after venturing around eugene.
Maybe our lack of rain this year is helping the bergenia and the corydalis. Mine really struggle some years. I might more them into a sandy area out by the propane tank.
red.. love the new anemone pics. The red one is beautiful! Well the knee is much better today. Planted some gamecock iris and some
siberian iris today around the pond. Did a bit of transplanting and took a few pic's. Good to be up and about again. I go crazy sitting in the house!
My first dutch iris of the season. Hopefully many more to come!
