I am considering purchasing some heucherella plants that I saw at a nursery. The care tag on the plant says SHADE, do not expose to sunlight. However, the plants are in filtered shade and full sun at times of the day while at the nursery. Also, the plant files indicate that sun is okay. What is your experience with heucherella?
What is the habit of this plant.....will it survive 8b winters.....and East Texas heat?
Does it have any particular care?
Thanks, Laura
Advice on heucherella please?
They will definitely survive your winters, they're hardy several zones colder than where you are. Hopefully someone from your area can comment on whether they'll survive your summers or not. I suspect in your area some filtered sun in the morning would be fine, but you definitely don't want it in an area that's really sunny especially in the afternoon or else it'll fry.
