need information on plant

Hello..this is new for me so haven't learned to navigate this site yet. What I need to know for now is how to prune, or if to prune the periniel plant...eupaforium rugosum commonly known as white snakeroot/chocolate. The tag that was on it when we planted it last year had all other info but this one. Thanx
