nutsfordaylilies said: Sue, I have been thinking lately that I want more primroses. I have some coming up from seed, some Primula japonica, and I want to get more seeds of other varieties. Thompson and Morgan has quite a few. I have been seeing the drumstick primulas lately at the local garden centers, and I have been lusting after them. Gotta do seeds, though, as it will save me a ton of money.
I've tried a few times growing from seed, but they're tricky (for me, at least). They take a long time to germinate. The ones I've started from seed were from T & M also. Good luck! I buy some from Evermay Nurseries in Maine. They're reliable.
Ooof, Robindog, that looks like a challenge all right. Do you have your eye on any particular variety of daylily?
Hi all! Just back from Boston. So many great shots - will take me some time to catch up! I'll post when I can too.
I'm just back from Boston, too!! Just for the day to visit a friend after surgery. Great pics, all!
Primrose Sue, have you been to Arlene's? I went last year-what a treat!! http://www.vtprimroses.com/mygarden/mygarden.html
I now have a lot of different varieties including japonicas spreading in my stream. Are you going to Tower Hill? http://www.americanprimrosesociety.org/index.php?content=nationalshow.php&menu=eventsmenu.php
