I am from Utah; zone 4. Nobody around has heard about coir-- that shredded coconut.
I want to use it in my garden--do i need alot.. I would say that my garden is 15 feet by 15 feet.

There are different grades of coir. You wouldn't wont to use the more expensive type used for container growing for modifying ground beds. You might check with www.instagarden.com.

go to products and sources and then click onto marketplace. you will see that boca bob sells coir and other items. he knows all about that stuf fand can tell you how much you will need.
