Today's Weather in Your Garden - 44
its cooling down now and then rain tomorrow
We're to get the rain tomorrow. I have Candytuft blooming as well as an MDB. Also tulips.
Another very hot day here---up to 88----I planted 11 plants later in the day, & watered many things. Can't get rid of my poison ivy, keeps popping up here & there on my arms & legs, & it's very annoying in this heat! I like 65-75 to work in---hope we see those temps soon----it seems we're at 50 or 80---
It's 9:30 PM and still the temps are in the 70s. Amazing! I've heard that we may get to almost 90 tomorrow. I will NOT be a happy camper. (Victor ~ I'm not touching that line with a ten-foot pole)
supposed to drop back off tomorrow... thank god... but back to wearing a jacket in the morning
68 now going up to 86
53 and that is cool morning because of being 5 miles to the ocean. It is supposed to be hot today & I won't like it.
We may hit 85-90 here today but I REFUSE to complain. I will enjoy the heat and if I get a bad thought i'll just think of 6 feet of snow that was not so long ago. ^_^

64 and sunny. Around 90 again today, before the big change.
kathy i have purchased several jm's from rf and they are very nice plants - i did learn a lesson last fall and that is to NEVER order jm's for over-wintering outside, maybe keep them in a garage or shed. all survived and two are in pretty good shape, two others not so good - could have been the ice storm - not happy
the bloodgood i lifted does not look like it is going to bud - this was a good back drop for the shirazz - i will hold on a bit longer - even less happy
going to be in the 90's today - too hot already!!
I'm loving this heat wave, but I don't have a garden in shock to worry about. Also,am I in trouble here?-- I don't speak garden alphabet. :-( What is WH, MDB, and, JM? I still enjoy your gardening discussions even if I can't participate much--this year, anyway. This Magnolia bush has been blooming nearby for a week now, smells wonderful! Mid 90's here today--then thunderboomers late tonight.
70 and raining which is what the plants that I put in this weekend need right now

JM = Japanese Maples
MDB = Miniature Dwarf Bearded (referring to an Iris)
having a brain cramp on the MH...someone will come along and enlighten us both. lol
Thanks Celeste!^_^ I love JM's and Iris--I look at Iris online all the time. The little one's are so pretty in the spring! When I lived in the boonies, we had wild ones--can't remember name--growing right by a stream in the woods.

Was out there this morning and it seemed less humid, they are still calling for 90.
It's hot out there - especially in the sun. But I have no choice - too much to do so I'll be out again after lunch.

Weird sleeping with open windows at this time of year - there is absolutely NO noise outside! No critters.
50 and rain. I don't have to water my new horseradish now, it's being done for me. Started out in the 60's this morning. I don't mind the cooler, but I hope it dries out soon. Are JM's supposed to bloom? I dont' think I've seen mine do that. It's been here over 20 years.
JM's get very small flowers, just like other maples. They're followed by the 'helicopter' seeds.
I'll have to look harder. I'll try to get DD to help me post a pic of mine. I'm still learning some of this computer stuff.
Took my walk at 10---it was already over 80, but there was a breeze---did a little digging in the wellhouse garden---then the mowers came, & I had to console the dogs---they panic when they hear the mower---should be lovely tonight with the thunderstorms!
91 now. Gave up a few minutes ago. Dying out there. Got a decent amount done.
