Will the Crimison King Maple grow in zone 8 Myrtle Beach.
Crimison King Maple.
Says it's hardy to zone 4. I've got 3 of them growing here...slow growers though.

I don't think the winter would be a problem, but the summers might be, some maples prefer cooler northern climates so I think the real question is whether it would be happy with Myrtle Beach summers or not. Plant Files lists it only up to 7b, but there's a comment from someone in Atlanta who says they're growing it and I imagine the summers there are similar. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/73558/

You might give it some shelter from hot afternoon sun. By siting it on a North or East location , you can shield it from the stressful heat.
