I can't remember the name of this one. It is an apricot color and looked pretty early this morning amongst the jack Frost Brunnera.
Spring Bulbs - What's Blooming? IV
bea, that last one is awesome
They are all killers! Oh, my. Another blow to my wallet.
Gorgeous pics everybody!
Bea, loving your colorful display! The Brunnera is stunning behind that tulip.
More beautious photos all . vossner I've never heard of anyone selling 'immature' bulbs. The point though is flowers in 2010 YA! I moved a gaggle of tulips last fall getting ready for the riiiip out the driveway project and from the looks of the foliage I doubt they will bloom this year so I'm with you on flowers in 2010 YA!
Where will you park your car(s), dahlianut? ^_^
Who cares? ^_^ I believe I have my priorities straight. Dahlia/rose garden going in.
Ahh nice choices :-)
DH is grumblin about moving his beloved vintage 1978 TransAm closer to the street. Geesh it's a car. Get over it!
Dahlia: You're a woman after my own heart! Who needs lawns and drives? You're lucky your DH is accepting this arrangement. Here it would be WWIII!
I luv your screaming springtime pic Beahive. The violas are a nice grouping with the daff.
New Design is great, isn't it? I grew some a few years back and loved the way they look.
Steve..I think this May Wonder can be called the poor man's peony!!
It is fantastic and reminds me so much of peonies! Love it!
Bea: I'm going to be watching John Scheepers like crazy so I don't miss out on New Design! It's a beauty. It reminds me of the color changes that `Shirley' goes through. She's getting more and more purple now. She's such a gorgeous doll! Just like my aunt that I planted her in memory of.
Angie
I agree, BeaHive - it is beautiful - looks wonderful with Angelique as well!~
Bea and Steve: You have the most beautiful bulbs! I love how you've intermixed yours and plan on doing some of that myself this fall. Just gorgeous or as a former truly southern lady neighbor of ours used to say, "just gawjus."
Bea, where do you purchase your bulbs? Do tulips return well for you, or do you treat them as annuals? Your display reminds me of pics of Brent&Becky's home gardens, so lovely!
Gemini, most of my Tulip & daff & dutch iris bulbs came from John Scheepers/Van Engelen,Brent & Becky's,Wooden Shoe Tulip Farms.
I transported many from CA when I moved up here in 2006 and they are still Ok. In CA I bought from Dutch Gardens not knowing about these other companies. All these companies sell quality bulbs..but if I had to choose my favorite it would be John Scheepers for quality & variety.
hemophobic..for the intermixed look, i just place all the bulbs to be planted in a large laundy basket and gently mix them. Then you don't go crazy trying to remember ...was the last one red or yellow or pink!
That's a great idea Bea!
Wow! Already up to 310 posts! Time for a new thread:

OUTSTANDING colour LG! Obviously they don't get any wind?
The nice thing about "Princess Irene" is that they are mid-season and not too tall (they have nice, sturdy stems), so the wind doesn't seem to bother them.
The first photo was one of the urns on my patio (taken last night). Here's the urn beside my driveway this morning, after 9-10 days of blooming.
