Sorry for the inconvenience.
Well I am all ready and the truck is packed and the Ham is in the oven ... and I wont be coming alone. My neighbor dont think i should be driving that distance and dont know where I am going. So she is coming ... some of you know Mattie ... she is cripple ... and bringing her Home Heath nurse. The nurse will be for the both of us. lol Kim I will have a check for you when I get there
Sylvia, if you go to this site and click on "directions to" and put in your address, it has the park address already in place. I got that from one of the other threads. The last thing I need is not to be able to find the park...I had that problem before.
Well, that doesn't work for some reason. Guess the park address would have to be put in anyway...although it worked before.

I am packed and I am exhausted! Chocolate cupcakes are in the oven. I made way too many trades! But then life is short, so why not enjoy it all you can, even if it wears you to a frazzle!
Sylvia, could you share the nurse? I may need one too! Can't wait to see everyone again.
Tomorrow, tomorrow is only a day away!
Charlene
Lol charlene! I just finished getting all my trades packed up and realized I need to dig a couple more things....ran out of passionvines even though I dug quite a few and forgot a crinum. But I will get them in the AM. Everyone who gets passionvines from me...please know that these are volunteers and do not have roots yet. Same for some of the salvias I dug. Just give them a shady spot and keep them moist, they should sprout some roots soon. If not give me a holler and I'll make sure to try and root some for the next RU. Some of my plants are sagging from the heat today, I sure hope they perk up. Hope I didn't forget anything!
Ceejay...it's too bad you won't be able to make it but that is a good idea for the fall. I will be (hopefully) writing my dissertation at that time so I won't have much extra time to spare. :)
Kim
OK ya'll I'm already here at the hotel, so I'll have no excuse for not being on time.lol
Somebody wanted rose cuttings. Well I didn't get to bring them, so I'll mail 'em later. I got sick and couldn't get everything done. I became dehydrated on the way to Lubbock to pick up my daughter. I'm better now, but I wear out very quick in the heat.
I think I managed to bring everything else, including 1 extra person. I have DH and DD with me, and 3 door prizes.
I wonder if that Crinnodonna is like the one you gave me CJ? Silly question, but is there more than 1 kind?
BTW are we meeting for breakfast somewhere?
I hadn't planned on it Mary Lee since we are getting started a little earlier and there aren't any good breakfast places really on this side of town. But if someone wants to get doughnuts Shipley's isn't far down the road.
See you all in the morning!
:) Kim
Yes, CJ we will definitely miss you. Maybe next year.
Kim, I'm proud of you for all your hard work. Your parents must be beside themselves.:)
Ok, no problem. There is a good breakfast here at the hotel. We stayed here last year and they actually have real eggs.lol
We had zero chance of rain today, but a huge thunderstorm came out of nowhere while I was putting plants in boxes and loading the van just before dark. I went inside because of serious lightning. We'll be a little later than planned getting there tomorrow, but we escaped the damage from 80 mph winds and large hail that is being reported nearby. Everybody have a safe trip, and see you tomorrow!
Oooo Patrob! Be careful. I heard about severe weather up there.
I am watching a huge super cell heading our way too! Please everyone be careful tomorrow - the NOAA weather radio stated thunderstorms can pop up anytime tomorrow. Take care in the heat also!!
HAVE FUN!!!
Dana
Ok my car is loaded to the gills! LOL I have what's called a crossover (not a mini van, but not an SUV either) - it's a Mazda5 and it's loooooooooaded! hehehe
I've made the iced tea (with fresh grown mint, BTW ;-)
got 2 big bags of chips (tostitos and ruffles)
will stop on the way to get 2 big bags of ice, and I have the cups in the car, along with the paper towels.
Sylvia, i was not able to get the Asparagus Fern for you - I'm sorry. I think before I offer something next time, I'll make sure I can actually dig it up. Holy cow! And that thing bit back!!! OUCH!
I was just about to come in when I remembered the onions for Linda & Jim! Yikes! It was almost dark then so I hollered at my dogs to come with me out to the veggie garden to get them. I could barely see them and had to use the sharpshooter kinda far back from the mound so I didn't take a chance on cutting into them. I got each of you a good handful. I hope that'll work for you!
Then I came in, threw my clothes in the washer, took a shower, vacuumed, then cleaned the kitchen (did I mention I have out of town company this weekend?!) One sister in law will be here in a few minutes. then she's going in the morning to pick her sister up at the airport. My DH is out on a run so he won't be home for Mother's Day. I might go meet him in S. LA tomorrow night with fresh clothes and a little food.
Anyway, I'll see you guys in the morning. Can hardly wait!!
Oh boy Dana. Looks like we left just in time. I wasn't paying any attention to the weather, but it did feel a little strange. Very hot, humid and windy.
Dana, that's "our" storm. We were lucky, and I hope you are too. It's a big, nasty one.
This has been a crazy week!!! We had company tonight, so I was busy cleaning the house and getting things ready today, plus it is the big bunny's birthday and I had to shop for a present. So... I'm going to brave the mosquitoes now and dig up your plants in the dark. LOL I'll see you all in the morning!
Mary,
I do not know if you looked but it is right above Mason and Llano County - the already issued Tornado watch for Mason County. Yes, I am glad you are up there Mary - safe - try to stay cool tomorrow!!
Patrob,
I will take the rain but everything else - please go away!! We have had to many close calls here with tornadoes - keep in mind they were small, but still! I am glad you made it through all right!!!
Dana
This thread is insane! we are running around in the dark ... tornadoe warnings ... Big Bunny??
braving mosquitos ... sharp shooters? Whats next Lord! lol
we better have a good time ... I am having a good time reading this thread lol Sandy and Charlene I think the EE's are partially rotten ... some parts are dense ... When I planted ours out front they were partially rotten too ... but they are sending up shoots.
Cajun you and Charlen must calm down ... yall got me nervous! just too much excitement going on around here ... but thats ok ... we are just God's little helpers :)
Sylvia, you told me an hr ago you were going to bed! lol
Also, Allyn is upset that you aren't coming home w/me tomorrow nite. And he was making a big dinner for us!!!
:~)
Just a short note to let you know I can't make it. Am sorry to those I had trades with. Hope you all have a great time....Lynne
I was running late, but I drove all the way there... really proud of myself! I have a bag of trades left that patti Sent for me to give out that had no name on it.
Charlene and Sandy I bought those EE's home again I sure hope they make it to Jacksonville or i will just have to see if HD still have them because mine are probaly smelling by now.
Thanks Everyone for all my goodies ... and for making my friends feel so welcome ... they really enjoyed themselves. Charlene, my Phaison is going in a big Pot ... not in the ground ... its too special! And Willis ... thanks so much for the Catalpa Tree ... never expected it to be so big! ... it will be in the ground in the AM ... and your Mom is a Sweetheart ... actually all your family was cool ... hope to see yall in Jacksonville.
It was nice to see everyone yesterday. I'm sorry that I couldn't stay longer, I just can't take the heat here lately. I've already gotting some of my things potted up. I'll send pictures when the vines start working on the gazebo in the yard. And Willis, I was out looking at my hibs the other day and my peach capitalio lives! I'm not sure which one it was that didn't but it wasn't the peach capitalio that bit the dust. So hooray!
Anne
Who was it that brought the mushroom compost for a door prize? I'm really excited about using that stuff. I've read things about it in some thread, but I didn't pay much attention to what was said because I never expected to have any to use. Can you give me some instructions on that please?
And thanks to everybody who gave me plants. I haven't done much with them yet. I woke up with low blood pressure again and didn't feel too great most of the day.
Silver, I brought the mushroom compost. Here is a helpful link on how to use it:

Charlene
It's 3am and I can't believe I'm on here, but just had to post that I had such a great time - thanks to all for making it a great swap!! I even came home and took pictures of all my treasures after I unloaded the car (too much for one--had to take two pictures!!) Everyone is so generous... my son has said several times just how great the day was for him. This was his 2nd swap with me and I don't think it'll be his last!! Thanks to SAS and her family for sharing Cacti with him--made his day, his week! He couldn't believe the generosity ;-)) And he was VERY impressed with the food!
I ended up owing some people things I either forgot or was not able to bring. I will post this as soon as I can figure all that out. For those I owe seeds, I'll get your address and mail them to you. Plants: I'll give you an IOU for the swap in the fall or next spring.
Goodness knows, I'll have so much more to share next couple of swaps!! I have at least another 20 varieties of seeds alone I'm about to put in the ground - not to mention the 20+ plants I just got Saturday! LOL Going to have to make more beds - already made ONE new one the day I came home!
One thing though... I believe it was Smock who gave me a few seeds of a Tiger Lily. I put them in a seed pack marked Toad Lilies and I THINK I put them back in my seeds to share ziploc. So if you received Toad Lily seeds from me, please check your envy - if you find two sizes of seeds, the larger ones are Tiger Lilies. I can't find that I stashes these separately anywhere, so I most likely gave them away ;-(( enjoy....
Thanks again, everyone!
Three questions (so far!)
1. Kim, the 'mist flower' you gave me... is that Sweet Joe Pye Weed (Eupatorium purpureum)? or something else? possibly this: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/64856/
or this: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53449/
2. Bob, please tell me again the name of the plant you gave me?
3. Lee, did you give me Mullein seeds?
thanks ;-))

Cajun...it is the west Texas mistflower...Eupatorium greggii. So glad you and your son had a good time!
:) Kim
thanks, Kim!
I wish I wasn't like that, but I am.... gotta know!!
Thanks Charlene for the compost. I have a few plants that are kind of stressed out and that stuff should perk them up real well. Do you use it yourself?
BTW, maybe we should start an "aftermath" thread? This one is already pretty long.

And Bob, what is the name of the tomato you gave me in the huge pot? I'm thinking I'll just let it grow in that pot since it's so big. I'll put the other one in a bigger pot.
Whoever it was that gave me the walking iris, what color is it? I'll love it whatever but I'm just curious.
I think Cajun had those.
Mary Lee, I started a new one here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/986432/ .
