Spring CS Round - Up Trades #2

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

Marylyn, what you have there is Salvia lyrata 'purple knockout' ;-))
I have it EVERYwhere in my yard this year for some reason.

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

Ice plants are a "stick 'em in the ground and get out of the way" kind of plant. I keep them in pots or hanging baskets for that reason. They're one of my favorites.

Anne

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Marylyn, I'd love to have your heuchera. What can I bring for you?

Anne, please put me down for ice plants too in any or all colors. I'm always looking for more named daylilies too if you are digging any of those. Maybe I'll have something the day of the RU that you decide you can find a spot for. There's always room for one more plant in the garden. :>)

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Thank you, Cajun2!!! I was wondering why the blooms didn't look like what I expected the heucheras' to be. That explains a lot! :-) I edited my post. Sorry, Patricia!

Dallas, TX

Marilyn ... I would like some of your Salvia lyrata 'purple knockout' ... what ever that is in the picture. ;) Thanks I have a list somewhwre and I am showing pictures.

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok, it's official.... I have potted up everyone's trades now, except for those things which I will dig up the day before the swap (Canna, Iris, Lilies, Cactus, Aloe and Ginger). I potted up a few extras of the "Mexican Herb" (Rootbeer plant, Hoja Santa), but I had a real hard time finding enough of the Thai Basil for the prearranged trades. I made sure I left one for myself (and it's tiny!!)

I'm so tired...... lol
But proud of myself too ;-))

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Cajun2 may I have some
japenese painted fern
aloe
ginger

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Cajun, I see you have oxalis on your list of things to trade. Just to be sure we are on the same page I have included a photo of the oxalis that I have to bring for you. I also have the one you have listed as a trade. At Arlington I received the purple leaf oxalis and last year I got the iron cross oxalis. Next year they should multiply and I will be able to offer those as trades.

For now have a look at mine to be sure it is what you are looking for.

Also, I have horsemint monarda that grows wild here. If I can find some before the RU, I will bring you some.

Right. Charlene, I'm so sorry if I confused you. I did find some of the Pink Wood Sorrel (Oxalis articulata f. crassipes), though I'm actually out now. I have enough for myself after making a few trades outside the RU.

The one I'm really looking for (on my official DG want list) is the Silver Butterfly Oxalis (Oxalis triangularis subsp. papilionaceae)
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/23646/

Although, I used to have some of the green iron cross and would love to have some in the fall.

-------------
Sandy, I already have you down for Aloe. And I'm sorry, but I have just sent off the last trade I had left of the Jap. Painted Fern. I'll see if I have another Ginger left, but may be out.

I'll go update my DG trade list now.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Okay, to answer my question, I need to know if you want some of the ones in the photo?
I can share these with you as I have several. I could also bring some of the Oxalis articulata f. crassipes if you need more. JLMK Do you have the horsemint yet?

Charlene

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Patrob, if you have more, may I have some Liatris mucronata?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Karla and Jim, may I have some Summer Poinsettia?

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

I'll put you down for liatris, Marylyn. Could I get some of your Mexican heather?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Sure! :-)

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

Well guys, Im in germ-a-phob mode here so Im not going to be straying far from home till all this flu stuff blows over.... If you have trades for me please re-trade them. Sorry everyone! I would have loved to see you all!
Everyone PLEASE take care of yourselves!

Freeport, TX

Cajun2- If it's not too late, could I get a yesterday, today and tomorrow from you? I've been busy today, but I'll update my trade list when I get around to it. I can give everybody what they've asked for so far. Later

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

Charlene, I really couldn't tell much by the picture which Oxalis you have but that's ok, I LOVE OXALIS so please just bring me a small one. and yes yes YES I'd be thrilled to get some Horsemint!!! THANK YOU!!

And Jim, I'll be happy to get a Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow for you.

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

Ok, I'm sorry but I'm going to be an indian giver (sorry for politically incorrectness). My daylilies are now blooming or in the process thereof. So I don't want to dig them at this time. Plus I'm having to document them as they bloom in order to identify them. My map isn't very accurate especially since they've spread. I know what I planted so I have to see what's blooming close to what in order to do that. Perhaps if we do a fall round up I'll have a better idea of what I have.

I'm going to put my list of trades up later on this evening.

Anne

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

I know how you feel there, Anne. That's why I didn't list mine yet. I started to, but then when I was about to move them, I saw they were budding. I'm so proud of my many fans on this one that I brought with me from Benbrook. I have several other daylilies that I need to watch for too, and try to at least photograph.

Ok as far as potting things up, I'm going to run out of time so if it doesn't sound rude....
Whatever 'potted' plants I'm pre-trading, I'm going to say "I'm done"
I'll be bringing all kinds of things that don't have to be potted.
Just my time is so limited, it's been almost stressful (lol) getting all my pre-trades ready to go.
(I cannot imagine you girls that hit more than one back-to-back! Holy Toledo, Man!)

I am SO looking forward to this swap ;-))
Can't wait to meet all of you!

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

AuntAnne I will bring your oleander seeds with me. And could I have a butterfly weed?

Silverfluter will you bring the alstromeia seeds for me? Did we trade for a amaryllis yrs ago I think you had for me? DUH

Freeport, TX

Ok, this may take up a lot of space, but:

ILJ99 - Have you down for brugs (1 yellow, 1 NOID, 1 white, 1 Charles Grimaldi, 1 Pink Favorite, 1 Plumeria, 2 each of the Sport hibiscus, 1 Black Magic. Could I have 1 Snake Plant & 1 Crocosmia?

AuntAnne- Have you down for a orange/peach Sport Hibiscus.

Cajun2 - Have you down for Black Magic Taro. If I'm not mistaken you are bringing us a Yesterday,Today, and Tomorrow and some Toad Lilys.

Patrob - I have you down for Black Magic & Imperial Taros. Do you still have some of the Twist Leaf Yucca?

Marylyn_Tx - I will bring you a Summer Poinsettia. Do you still have any Red Yucca?

Trishann- I have you down for Party Time, Virginia Knotweed, a Plumeria, Black Magic & Imperial Taro, Cryptbergia, Chameleon Plant, and a Jade Plant Cutting (which is only fair because you are who I got mine from last year). Could I have some White Texas Star Hibiscus & a Datura Triple white?

I think that covers it, but if I missed a request or got something wrong let me know.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I have LOTS of Red Yucca! I'll be happy to bring some to you. :-)

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

Can do, but that's the end of the Butterfly weed. Still lots of Ice plants.

Anne

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

Jim, I have plenty of twist leaf yucca and will bring you some. Thanks!

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

Jim, I definitely have you down for the Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow and the Toad Lilies (and they are doing nicely, BTW ;-))

Looking forward to the Black Taro!

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Guys, I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out of this RU. I got an ugly bug this week and had to postpone several weekend plans. I'm also behind on getting things started. That's all going to interfere with a trip to CS. Sorry!

I still want to cover my trades. If I'm not mistaken, most of the people I've promised things to are also going to the ET RU on 5/16. If you're on that list, I'll bring your things there.

As far as I know, that leaves Lovesdiggin', Kim, Mary Lee, Marylyn, Sandy & Jim. Most of those things are small plants, or can go in bags. I will ask Sylvia if she has room to take them with her. If she can't, well, it shouldn't be too hard to mail them.

If I've promised you something, and you're not listed here, AND you're not going to be in Jacksonville, let me know asap.

I will be sorry to miss everyone!

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Awww, I'm sorry, too, Pattie! I was looking forward to meeting you. Next time... :-)

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I don't think I will make the SET RU but Smockette will be coming. I can send yours with her if I have something for you and I am sure she would be happy to get mine. Hope you feel better soon PBTXLADY

Jim did I ask for a Black taro? I would love one please.

Freeport, TX

ILJ99- Check my post a little ways up :)

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I feel I eat dream and live plants right now. I see it and TY. Yes I will put you down for snake plant and crocosmia. TY so much.

Dallas, TX

I have some of these little beauties running around ... they are absolutely gorgeous! I can part with some.

They are called Lynsimachia or something like that... Smockette will know.

Wow, this has been a busy thread! Patrob could I have a liatris start? Or did I already ask, can't remember.

Cajun did I ask for toad lilies from you?

If anybody is interested in russian sage?

Also somebody wanted variegate plants? I have Mickey Mouse elephant ears I can share. I got some last year from CJ and they multiplied in the pot so now I have at least 4! These things apparently are very prolific so give them lots of room.
