HELP!! SQUASH BUGS!!

I had a terrible case of the squash bugs from an impromptu pumpkin patch that grew last summer/fall in my would have been veggie garden. This year I actually want to plant in my veggie garden. I haven't found any squash bugs in the actual garden but I am finding them on my porch, in front of my drive way and lurking around my yard!!!

Help what do I do? Do I HAVE TO use nasty chemicals!! I can't stand these things!!!
