In fact, that painting almost looks as though it might be from that picture! I doubt it, but it sure is close!

DN, you're a riot. Congratulations! Amen!!

Karen, remember I mentioned I had a couple of Rose of Sharon's? Well, the deer bit them in two! If they produce side branches I'll bring them to your roundup, but otherwise I'm afraid they're gonners. Stupid Bambis. I really need to get some spray, but I keep forgetting. Hopefully this will bring it to mind. Something is chewing on my daylillies too.

Drumlin, until things get big and woody, the deer and rabbits will eat almost anything, no matter what the deer resistant list say. I try to cage anything young and tender that I plant in "their" part of our property. I know that the deer adore the blooms on my DL and they would carefully eat every blossom, but for years they didn't touch the leaves. Now they have taken to eating those too. I had some growing that I hadn't bothered to move because I liked the way the leaves looked, but now I will move those this year to the fenced part of the yard and plant some iris which they don't YET eat. DH sprayed everything yesterday.

Redchic, great blue anenome, and I adore seeing all the hellebore and Camellia's

DyanesGarden, I am excited that you found the right tag for 'Precocious', and that I too will have that nice looking 'Mondragon' too this year from Bleek, but I think your's is still something else. Did you plant 'Mary Bohannon'? 'Mondragon' has a Split-corona which should be easy to id. Neither has bloomed here yet. Love the picture of what ever it is. Patti

Patti, I'm with you. When I look at the pictures of Mondragon, it doesn't look like mine has the split corona. Now it's a NOID, I think it mislabeled from Bert or from myself. Last year I ordered Rip Van Winkle (small, early double), Wave (white with yellow/white), Yellow Hoop Petticoat (mini yellow), Stainless (white), Mondragon (yellow with orange split cup), Precocious (white with pink), Accent (white with salmon/pink), Holland Sensation (white with yellow), Golden Echo (white with yellow).
I try to be organized with my labels because I do like to know the proper names so this one is a mystery.

Shoot a picture off to Bleek. He can id it for you in a heart beat. He might have sent you a bonus. Moving over to the new thread. I am lost.
