Hello,
I would like to get a creosote bush however we live in zone 7. It
looks like from your website these bushes are zoned from 8 on. Do you know if we would have any luck with this bush? They are usually grown in the desert but it also freezes in the desert so I was thinking it might be ok here.
If any one has advice on this, please let me know.
Thank you
Creosote Bush
Go ahead and give it a try. Just be sure you are well past your last frost. You save the seeds anyway. So maybe it will work. Good luck, Smokey
Here's info from a website that generally has good info, they say it's hardy to zone 6 http://www.laspilitas.com/nature-of-california/plants/larrea-tridentata I would read their description of it though--it has the ability to inhibit the growth of other plants by creating water-repellent soil. Having never grown it I'm not sure how big an issue that is, but if you're planning on growing it in a bed with other plants that may be something to consider.
