Pixie I was wondering how you are going to work things out once you have a gaggle of bunnies?
Coffee Break #8 - It's April - no fooling!
Barbecue?
I 've been looking at some organic products to keep them out of my gardens.
I doubt we will have to many bunnies....we have an over abundance of coyotes, plus our share of fox, hawks, owls, and eagles.
No BBQ!
Tomatoes were considered poisonous since they are in the nightshade family. There are many anecdotes about tomatoes, - one is that in 1830 Robert Gibbon Johnson ate a basket of them in front of the courthouse which happens to be in Salem, NJ about 5 miles from me. People were waiting for him to start foaming at the mouth, etc. But he didn't. In later years, many tomatoes were grown around here, cuz there was a Heinz ketchup factory in Salem. It was still in operation when we first moved her in the mid 70's and you could always tell when it was in production.
He's lucky he didn't get thrown in the pond as a witch!
Enjoy this weekend!

Cute card, Victor! I got one of those Easter lilies from one of our Easter guests and had to plant it yesterday. I hope it makes it. When I saw the bear maneuvering it out of the greenhouse, I had to chuckle. Gifts of plants right before we take off are by definition in jeopardy. LOL
great bear--one in middleton MA was breaking up bee hives. this one was better.
Cute Victor, thanks...I wish I had a garden gnome to clean up for me.
Planted out some sweet peas today and dug up a rose that I had transplanted from a weird spot in the front yard but I think it was a wild one, it was real funky looking didn't like it so I dug it up, now I need a real mini rose bush to put there. Put down some liquid fence to keep peter cottontail away from my tulips(MAN THAT STUFF STINKS!!!) and sprayed weed be gone in the inferno strip along the road...I really want to redo that whole thing too... It just never ends.
And around 1983 ketchup was declared to count as a vegetable in school lunches (also by the federal govt.)
stinks & works for me Jen
Yes it does stink but I also did a new round of it today.
OK Dave if katsup is a vedgtable then I wont feel guilty about Carrot Cake as a vedg either.
and strawberry rhubarb pie is fruit and veggies!!
Be my neighbor-enabler?
you got it pal!!!
Loved the card! That garden shed looks like ours---except ours is full of mice, not gnomes! Our DS informed us a bear was sitting in the middle of his driveway last week, & a bobcat was roaming around the farmhouse----I don't need to hear that!
The witches were in Salem, Mass.
Love the card and I also want a gnome like that. :)
My youngest son would dip french fries in ketchup and lick it off and put the french fry down and get another one. It was cute, back then. Thankfully he doesn't do that now.
We had some redleaf lettuce from our garden last night. I had gotten some plants at Wmart a while ago, soon after a shipment came in. ( before they had a chance to neglect them) It was great!!!
Gotta get back outside. I'll see if I can get mom out on the deck. She might be too cold though. (lol) seriously.
not eating the fries was healthier!!
I got mom outside - off the deck this forenoon. YIPPEE!! The oxygen tube reached after we moved the machine by the sliding door. I was going to bring her lunch out, but she wanted to go in - she was too hot!!! LOL She was out for about half an hour.
I had to come in for a bit - the full sun does me in. I'll keep working later , after dinner.
That's great to hear, Jan. It sounds like Mom enjoyed getting some Vitamin A and fresh air!! Hope you're enjoying your warm weekend too!
definitely enjoying the warmth. However, 88 is a bit hot for me. LOL I know, I know...I'm sunburned. I did wear a hat, though.
Don't you mean Vitamin D, Louise?? Or is it different in the FL sun?!!^_^
