Hi Elphaba, Nice one! I just deleted most of my bad pics the other day so I didn't have a lot to choose from.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

The day the Red-winged Blackbird arrived. They don't stay for very long,so I was trigger happy. And this is what happens.

Oh cool Flicker!!!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Burn, I hate it when I get trigger happy and lose the shot! I've taken nothing but bad shots for days now and I don't even have a good reason.

Mrs. Ed, if only there were a head that would be such a great shot! The feathers are so gorgeous.

Pelle, sure you deleted your bad pics, uhuh. I'm getting that low disk space message, so I should probably go delete whole days of bad pics!

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Yeah, I save the odd one for this thread, but most of my bad pics go straight in the bin!

Great bad shots!! I always forget and delete mine too soon. Here is a red wing blackbird that I just couldn't get the lighting right on. It was so close too!!

Here is the other shot I got of the Carolina Wren the other day... LOL!

Those wrens are fast! I think I took some really bad shots of a Carolina Wren this morning. I've been trying not to photograph them so they would nest in the box that I made for them. They didn't though. I'm quite annoyed at them. I put the box above the wall planter where they always try to build a nest. They ignored the nest box and tried making their nest behind the bromiliad in the wall hanger again this year. They gave up on it though and they've nested somewhere nearby, but I don't know where.

I haven't downloaded today's pics b/c I'm trying to get rid of pics before I do. This one is from Sunday. I so wanted to get a shot of a bird with the Angel Trumpets and flag irises. The lighting is almost always wrong though. Almost everything in this picture was yellow. I darkened it a ton. I have color adjustment but you have to click on something gray. I rarely have anything gray in a picture. Weird eh?

Same day, Orange-crowned Warbler right above me. The sunlight was coming in sideways and blinding me while I took this shot and the next one. Just looking at these pictures makes my right eye hurt.

I think I got cataracts taking this picture. Orange-crowned again. I didn't know that they had those fancy tips on their wings, so this shot was interesting even if terrible and blinding.

Awww Frank, Mr. Cardinal is intense in searching something below the wisteria's branches. :-)

Here, I had no time but snapping away at the sight of the Eastern Blue bird, and I was delighted that I've got something. lol

I was sitting at a stop light as I was leaving the local mall and while I was waiting for the light to turn I looked to my right and there were some Cedar Waxwings sitting in a bush. I lifted my camera and without focusing or anything I took a picture...then the light changed. Of course, it didnt' turn out. I just about chopped their heads off!

I hear ya, Burn...I'm always making pretty birds look pretty Ugly!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Heck Frank, most of my chickadee pics look like that..LOL!!!

I have been able to get a ton of BAD Blue Bird pics this week...aargh!! Wish I could get at least 1 good one!

Nanny, I feel your pain except in my case it's Hooded Warblers that are eluding me.

This one showed up a couple of days ago, and this pic from yesterday is the first one that's even good enough to share on the awful pics page! I'm pretty sure he's a Hooded Warbler even though he doesn't have a full hood. I'm guessing he's a young male. I had a female hang around last year and she wasn't as brightly colored.

Frank, I'm hearing a chickadee, but I can't even find him!

Crazybirdlady, I was impressed that you had the camera handy in the car! Whenever I have an amazing car sighting, my camera is at home!
