I received a rain barrel for Christmas and want to set it up near my vegetable garden. Is there a non toxic way to keep it from becoming a mosquito breeding ground? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Mosquitoes in rain barrel
Most "how to" articles I've read mentioned using a fine screen (between the downspout and the opening to the barrel) to keep any mosquitos out of the barrel. Have you tried that?
Thanks, txsusieg! I feel a bit foolish, as I hadn't really looked at the barrel very well. When I removed it from the box, I saw that it does have screening over the holes!
