March Blooms VII - the 2nd!

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

We came from here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/964750/

The ladies decided they wanted a thread with a pic. This is one of the few I have here with me at work, so hope it's good enough . . .

I love the curly leaf; but they are both beautiful.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

I just wish I knew what the curly leaf one was! The other is Blue Eyed Russia

Thanks Nichole! This is much better.Don't know why I didn't think to add a picture.

Lakeview, OR(Zone 7b)

I had to add another light :-) although you can't see it, it's on the celiling. I did it all by meself yesterday. Is it my imagination or do AVs get greener after they've been watered and put back under the lights. I added my new streps to the group. I set them on the dryer in the laundry room for a week, but they were looking wilty so I moved them to the group of AVs. I really have trouble with streps. I found a large clear covered jar at Michaels for $8.99. It is for my new episcia when I feel it's big enough to put in there. This will be an office plant and I really want it to grow. I took a leaf to propogate and it is looking sturdy. My 'Mini Merry' begonia is growing nicely. I will put it in a bonsai pot [another love but hopeless].

Your leaves are huge! What a treat it must be to walk in and see all of those blooms. What's the pale pink one on the sixth picture down?

Susan, nice to see you! Your leaves are nice and green! I just got done reading thru what you posted about rooting strep leaves in water . . . I'm glad it works for you! I had a strep leaf in a baggie for 2 months (yes, with water!), and no roots. Finally got around to sticking it in perlite/vermiculite. ^_^

Frederick, MD(Zone 7a)

I love it when the streps get huge. Your's look fantastic. Big bold and beautiful.

Mortswife, congrats on getting growing again. Nice set up.

syrumani, did you end up showing any plants this year?

Ditto what GL has said to Mortswfie and Turtlechi...........we miss you, Susan!

I think Syrumani has her show and sale in May?

Well, getting ready for the temps to go from 91 right now down to 44 tonight , back up tomorrow and down tomorrow night to 44...........get ready, Sally, for the winds this weekend even in CC.

This isn't the best picture but I wanted to share an episcia I bought on DG from GL in the fall or winter.............bad picture but pretty plants. It is hard to capture Pink Smoke with a camera.

Iced Pink Flamingo with only green leaves. (I could have taken the spent blooms off)

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

The bloom on the green Iced Pink Flamingo is exactly the same as if she had variegated foliage.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I should have shown the variegated foliage of Iced Wine here.

I know she is not Michael as her name says she is. Jim, where are YOU? Goldleaf thinks she looks like Marna.
