Hello,
I am looking to get a fast spreading ground cover. The zone is 6 and the area is full sun and the soil is pretty acidic.
We are having trouble getting grass to grow so I just want to cover the area with a nice pretty ground cover that spreads quickly.
I was looking at Sedum or Thymus any suggestions?
I want something fairly invasive to take over.
THANKS!
Want a fast spreading ground cover
Sedum dasyphyllum major is evergreen, prefers dry ground, and has an indefinite spread. I'm planning to get it started on a steep, dry, west facing bank in my yard this spring. I like that it's evergreen so it will be able to hold the ground even during the winter. Stepables (online) offers it but you might find it in a local nursery.
I like the Vinca Minor; maybe I will try that.
Thanks!
