I don't have a picture of this, but have had the problem for the last two years, on four erythrina plants.....two bidwilli and two cristi-galli. These plants are at least a half acre apart from each other.
The flowers appear, and then almost as soon as they appear, sawdust appears crumbled up with the flower parts on the ends of the branches. The branches become hollow back up the limb to a certain point....usually 6-10 inches.
I've tried systemics since I can't see any critters on them. I've tried cutting back past where the limbs are hollow. When it grows out again and makes another flower, the burrowing critter does his work again.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Kay
