I've searched a lot of places and can't quite find an ID for this affliction on a tomato plant. It affected all 100 of my tomato plants last year - both heirloom and hybrid varieties, so I planted in a different garden plot about 75 feet away. This year one has it - a hybrid Big Beef - which I dug up and threw on the burn pile. I start my own seeds every year using fresh seed starting mix and thoroughly wash my seed starter trays after planting. I've been doing this for 30 years and have never seen this before.

Yoo hoo! Anybody out there have a clue what this is? Adventitious roots? Disease?
Yes, adventitious roots. I had some of that early on probably due to high rainfall. Your plant is near ground. Damp soil or mulch will cause that.
