It is so windy today and forecast of rain later on...this Fox Sparrow is still at the brush pile.

The Harris's Sparrow is still here too...in the background is a White-crowned Sparrow...lots of those still here.

Here is a Chestnut Backed Chickadee. My sis Carol, who sadly is no longer with us, used to call these little cuties; "her little gentlemen".

Hope none of our AK friends are anyhere near the volcano. We knew from all of you that it was smoking.

Fox Sparrow

A lesser Goldfinch with aspirations of being a Hummer.

The piglets (Goldfinch) are starting to increase in numbers.

I couldn't resist this little rabbit that I found at Lowe's today. When I got home I put it out with meal worms in it. In less than a minute, Papa was there to check it out.

I got a lot of shots of him on and around the rabbit. Here is an in-flight shot.

But he came right back.

This time he ate his fill and I caught him as he left again.

We had three pair of chickadees eating meal worms and frolicking in the Spring sunshine. Here is one.

This goldfinch posed for me for quite some time. I got several typical shots and then he gave me this. Not sure what he was doing. Maybe he was thinking about getting a drink.

My guy (Eastern Bluebird) is such a sweetie and comes to get meal worms to feed the Mrs. who is now incubating! One of these days I would love to get some great action shots like Daves, right now I am challenged to find him holding still!

Good morning.

Yes Pell, the cat is my neighbor's. Funny thing is, it's a polish cat!! I tell him to go home and he just rolls over for a belly rub! I am so frustrated because 1, I have no cats...2, this cat this my gardens are his hunting grounds and 3, I feel just awful chasing the dand thing away and he doesn't listen.

I have talked with neighbor and all he says is chase him home.
I have heard that water will help, but then i feel like a heal dowsing a cat in water.
OMG, My poor birdies have to eat fly, always on the watch, what in the world should I do?

I would ask the neighbor if he could try a belled collar on him.

I always wondered if those sonic animal chasers work

My Scrub Jay keeps giving me the "look".

The Tree Swallows have finally settled on their perches while their mates are in the houses. My dogs and I are able to walk around close to them and they just ignore us. Sure are happy little ones.

Thank you, Ducbucin! It's remarkable that he's still so snowy on his belly. Our air in this "Megalopolis" is not the cleanest in the US. LOL

My Bradford Pear tree is in flower. In a week it will leaf out and you won't be able to see anything perched in it. Here is Mama hiding.

And a goldfinch flying through it.
