A friend gave me what looks like ferns that you planted outside they had been in the ground over winter the tops are dead. Do you think they will come back. Are plants that come back everyyear or they annuals. Thankyou

Depends on what kind of ferns they are, some would be hardy in your area but some wouldn't. If you have a picture from when they were alive last year I'd post it in the ID forum and find out what fern it was, then you can figure out if they should come back or not.

I guess you'll just have to hang in there and keep your fingers crossed that they were one of the hardier ones! If your friend lives near you and grows these outside then they should be hardy.
He does. They got a little green on them. Theres a limb or to from last year thats still green. Thankyou
