Are these the same thing? If they are different, then how (without being too descriptive)? I read that heirlooms are at least 50 years old and I *think* they are all OP. I am assuming that OP varieties that aren't 50 years old are just classified as OP. Am I right/halfway/wrong???????? I just need some clarification. Thanks.
OP vs Heirloom????
" heirloom" has about as many definitions as advocates. They are all open pollinated, but many (probably the majority) have been created/ discovered by amateur breeders since 1975.
