Okay..lol...I'll come give carrots to Jasmine. I'd love to be able to take her home with me....I love donkeys.

Great pictures! I think I was commenting on your shoes, I wear similar ones all the time. My sister says they are ugly, but they are comfortable and that's what counts.
Pegi
I was kidding, but now I understand! I love my Crocs and seldom wear anything else anymore. Those are my winter ones - the summer ones have the holes. :-)
OK you guys, I have taken the final step and am now a fully subscribed member - had to, since rubyv wrote that she had seen a photo of me at the RU. THanks again to our gracious hosts. I love your place and you are so clever in the things you have built. Maybe you could post pics in summer when everything has filled in. I have not seen a screened room in California before, usually they are where the mosquitos are. I used to sleep in one in the cottage on Green Bay, WI. THank you all for sharing your plants with me. I will be sure to have something for the next gathering (even if it is replicas of Bloom's raffle prize!). Maybe quilty flowers!
BTW, when we came down the hill into Temecula, the sun was bright & warm. Nice then, but come July it can be wearisome.
We have horses and goats and they are fun to watch. I have my sewing machine next to a window where I have placed the bird & hummingbird feeders and birdbath. Sometimes theres a bunny or @#!*&^%ground squirrel that comes to glean the seed that falls to ground along with the doves and sometimes roadrunners. Yes, DD's first horse trainer said horses can get sick from too many apples or carrots in one day (1 apple and several carrots are enough).
Kanita - would you like to share your recipe?
Hey! I was never issued a shovel to go shopping. How long did it take your lady banks to get that size? I planted a 1 gal one last year. I guess I did not walk around far enough because I did not see your "business end" (compost heap, straw bales, veg bed). My compost is not "cooking" enough.
Congratulations on being a new subscriber! So glad you came to the RoundUp.
Our Lady Banks lutea is, I think, four years old - but I don't remember whether we planted it in spring or fall. The white one we put in just a year ago.
Our compost doesn't cook, either - but it sits long enough to work. The business end is where the greenhouse is.
Wow, I just saw the pictures now, from both threads! Seems I AM the one who can be blackmailed, haha...
But it reminds me of how much fun I had with you guys! : ))
