O O and HAPPY DAHLIA DAY!!!!! From Garden History Items today:
1751: Anders (Andreas) Dahl, Swedish botanist, was born. He would study under Linnaeus; the Dahlia flower is named for him.
Coffee Break # 7 Spring is in the air!!
is there dancing involved?
:)
Irish dancing ^_^
it's 2 o'clock they are bloodshot by now

with green tongues
I think lampshades are probably involved too.
I'm not Irish so I'm wearing pink.
i remember back in college they served beer w/green coloring never did drink any of that - they are doing the same in southie (boston) right now i'm sure
wife made sure i put on a green sweater today - it was in the rotation anyway
My grandfather came from county Kerry, but the relatives are all mixed up so could wear both green & orange. Eveidently in Ireland, they don't make such a fuss about wearing green.
Pistachio pudding anyone? Thats about as Irish as I got today....I have blue on!
Actually, black top, gray slacks, and a blue sweatshirt.
sherrie you really need to stop beating yourself up :)
he laughs AFTER he's sure your ok i hope
wear a helmut
Happy St. Patty's day everyone! I'm 1/2 Irish... well, almost. There's probably less than an 1/8th of English, German and French in there. The other 1/2 is Czechoslovakian. What do Czechs celebrate?
Wearing a spring green sweat jacket.
Happy Dahlia Day Dnut!
Isn't the weather beautiful today?
These crocuses were supposed to be an all purple mix.
oops a mixedup mix
That is great!!! Heh wren is it still warm and toasty down your way?
LOL
One of my irish coworkers said they wear blue on St Pats in Ireland.
I'll take a slice of pistachio cake please!
and a minty julep for me please (I think green beer is too plain funky weird to actually drink)
Not toasty to day 65 right now and damp, and over cast. But things are blooming I have amaryllis blooming out in the yard and the Louisiana iris that is growing in my water garden has a bud on it.
The little white flower that I call pop flowers because when you pinch the flower buds they pop open is blooming. There is one of the wild white rose is blooming can't remember the name right now.

My DH is part Irish, but that's it---green beer is not too appealing! But then I can't have any alcohol due to migraines. The best green I saw today was my daffs---2 are budded! Hoping for some flowers soon!
My mom is half Irish, though she looks 100%.
Remember when Mickey D's used to have the green milk shakes for St Pat's Day?
