Meet Jackpot

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

Before 2001, when Gruyère gained Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) status as a Swiss cheese So its a form of Swiss Cheese!!! yeah!!! Better than Gouda.

Lodi, United States

It is the BEST form of Swiss cheese. Nutty, rich, complex. But the holes are very small:0(

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh goodness, you all are making me laugh so hard I might not be able to post the pic....

Elbridge, NY(Zone 5a)

It sounds wonderful! I had to look it up! hehehe I love fetta myself.
Soon babies!! will check in later to see how things are. :D

Specail Agent is inspecting the "cheese". Looks good to me!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I like Swiss Cheese.. even the cheap stuff.. :)

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Personally I love Beemster cheese, a form of gouda.

Is the spiny anteater still flocculating?

What color is my cheese's chest?

Lodi, United States

We are looking for a dark rind. The darker the better. Cheese is best inspected when fully fluffed.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

No white NO cream Just gray/brown!

It's awfully dark.. I'm thinking dark chest

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Moxon going for second look....brb

Lodi, United States

Flocculating Spiny Anteaters are just one step below a full Pangolin alert.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

How could gouda get any betta? =0)
As soon as the pukey is a fluffy the anteater will have completed flocculation.
Congrats on liberation of one cheese hole...

ZZ, Jackpot is the cutest ever. I ordered eggs from the same person on ebay, but did not get one naked neck. I was hoping of a jackpot too. I think I got a silkie and some frizzles. All adorable.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

Well blow me down with a wet noodle! It's a pullet! How fantabulous is that!!

Jay, the platypus is looking VERY annoyed with all the pinching.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

The mold is on the cheese...
I repeat... the mold is on the cheese.

Not as annoyed as your moldy cheese. LOL

Acknowledged.

How many other slices have holes Commander?

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I'm thrilled too ZZ, and very thankful to you and Catscan for the original cheese modules. You two are terrific with a scoop of super on top!

There are still 2 holes in the remaining cheese modules but no door opening efforts as yet.

wut wut wut!

2 out of five remaining slices, agent ZZ. We are in a holding pattern.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh no! It's getting lighter as it dries... I hope I didn't jump the gun here... but I am not seeing much gray.. up near the neck is where it needs to be dark.. and stay dark... LOL

Lodi, United States

Pullet! Pullet! Pullet! Don't you just love sexual dimorphism (dichronism?)

Who's minding the wallaby?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

The first pic it flipped as a pullet.. LOL

You're right ZZ.... I don't think the position is quite right for determining breast colour remotely. Remember a spot of white does not invalidate the ID. But a solid sheet of cream or white up tummy and breast...But it would be a son of Beau--one of the most stunningly studly roos on earth.

Sapello, NM(Zone 5b)

The latest fuzzy cheese is awaiting confederates to overwhelm you with cuteness. Be warned. It's the end of my shift and I worry that zz and c are tottering terribly close to alien mind meld. Careful Commanders... us wee little Pfc would be lost without you... well, we're lost with you, but that's more fun...

Night, night...

Could be a factor...

My what nice clean nails you have!

It is just difficult to tell. The first looks quite grey, the second, not so much. The difference is usually quite pronounced. Grey or tan--girl. Cream or white--boy. Some girls have a small white blotch on their breast surrounded by the darker color. If you just looked at the breast would you say cream or white? Or grey or brown?
