Does anyone know when the best time to repot a heartleaf ice plant? The hanging pot it is in has cracked on the bottom( i'm guessing the roots?)

repotting a heartleaf ice plant??
If the pot's cracked because it's so rootbound that it's bursting out, I'd go ahead and repot it now.
I was thinking the same thing, but I was scared I'd kill it. It's taken me almost a year to nurse it back to life. It was full of bugs (fly like). I'm proud of it. I even have a 6" pot and a 4 1/2" pot that I put cuttings in. I tend to "love" them to death sometimes.
I have had it inside the past 7-8 months, so if I put it back in the same spot, you think it will do o.k.?
Thanks, Elizabeth
Yes, it should be fine--if you don't repot it that will be worse for it in the long run. The most important thing to know since this is a succulent and you mentioned that you tend to love things to death is that once it's repotted it won't need to be watered as frequently as it does now in its rootbound state (there'll be more soil to hold moisture), so you'll need to be careful you don't overwater it. As far as putting it back in the same spot--if it's a spot that gets a ton of sun coming in through the windows then you may want to put it a little farther from the window for a couple weeks as it recovers from being repotted.
I have been noticing I have to water it more. It feels light when it's thristy. I'm glad you told me to watch the watering.
It's hanging in front of a window but it doesn't get too much sun because of the drapes.
well my mind is at ease now. Thanks for your help:)
