It's a "bad feather" day for Mr. Robin.

Ah Mr. Robin is cute dispite a bad feather day! Here is ms. Cardinal tries out the view in the back. When my Phoebes aren't busy chattering here.

Isn't it annoying when the lighting just doesn't work for ya!

I had two awful disappointing shots this morning. I was inside and I heard the birds fly off, and I just knew that this hawk was in my yard. I took two photos through the dirty window before he took off, but there were too many branches in front of him. I hoped the camera would focus on the Sycamore and the hawk because they were so much bigger than the spindly branches of the ash tree, but alas, no. I think he's probably a Cooper's Hawk.

This Orange-crowned Warbler came down and just parked on this branch and let me take tons of photos. That never happens. Unfortunately, it was so cloudy and I was looking through a dirty window, so I knew they wouldn't turn out.

I saw Ruby-crowned Kinglets everywhere while on my little jaunt through the woods Sunday afternoon but the little critters would not stay in once place long enough for a picture. This is the best I could do....

and this is the 2nd best pic I got of the RC Kinglet...if you look closely enough you can see it!

OK, one more. This Hermit (?) Thrush really blends in with its surroundings...

Good ones cb! Those Kinglets are a hard one to catch.

There was not enough light to get a good pic of this Downy. Software added too much noise to clean.

Here my awful picture of a Kestrel and Meadowlark sharing the same fence. Just too far away though. :[ and then there's that light pole right smack dab in the middle!

A way to far away shot of what could be some Heron's flying overhead.

Many a time, I thought perhaps the titmouse 'tunes' the photographer out by simply not looking at the camera. lol. By doing so, it does remain at the spot a little longer than usual.

Same thing -- it picked up a seed, flew up to a higher branch and stayed there for a while longer as long as the photographer was out of sight. :-)

Over 140 posts - someone want to start Vol. 8 with the next bad pic?
