They do just seem to taunt you sometimes, I swear!!!

Woodbridge, VA

Thanks for the laughs, Everyone. Oh, that poor Red-bellied Woodpecker of yours, Loves Great Danes! Do you suppose Dirt's Hawk said, "Off with your head!"?
LOL

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

LOL WB!!

Crazy~ I had a few Kingfishers exactly like yours..seems there always on the wrong side of the stream for me.

That one is fine except for the tail. I would love to see a Kingfisher someday.

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

I love how the wren's tail is in motion like that! Kingfishers are just too cool.

This picture wouldn't be too horrible if I had actually gotten the Little Blue Herons in the picture.

have not been here to see your posts since the... lol.... bird whisperer shot on the 16th.... To answer your ?s, wbbirdwoman, yes, that is PB Delux on the spoon... there is usually a feeder at that window, so they come in naturally.... but when it is empty, with just a few momets of patience, you can bring then in with a spoonful of food... here is a shot of my hand... with a nuthatch attached.... my son had the camera this time!

Fly away my feathered friends!!!!! I got within 7 feet of him and got this shot.... no almost about it!!! have a great day, all!!!!

Still a cool pic Elphaba!

maine, Love the Nuthatch! The Hawks does know that is his buffet; I'm surprised he let you get so close.

Hi Janet, That is a good (bad) pic. I've done that before many times usually not checking camera settings.

Huntsville, AL(Zone 7a)

I was in the right place at the right time to get THE perfect shot of a Hummer feeding and when I came inside to post it....

ummm I can't find a bird in that photo! It's another "where's waldo"

Woodbridge, VA

Good morning Birder Friends! Thanks for the smiles. One of the first things that I do in the morning is to log onto this site and laugh at your comments. Here is an awful shot in EVERY way: taken at Peaks of Otter Lodge in Bedford, Virginia. I'm glad that our two day stay there was better than this pic of "The Sentry." Blessings to all of you today.

LOL, center right is where he is?

Woodbridge, VA

Thanks, Lily. Oh, I would have guessed that he's that little brown speck of fluff in the lower left of the photo. This is fun. We should do this more often. LOL

Marlton, NJ

I agree! Can't say I will be very good at it with my tired old eyes but I do like a challenge. :-)

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Okay, Waldo was on the off right center of the pix. lol. Okay, my eye sight isn't 20/20 either, so here is another pix hopefully we don't have to strain our eyes so hard, yours and mine, Pelle. lol.

I can see! 'Em are Geese, right? LOL I'm going to get nothing done unless I "swim" outta here. Later!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I thought it was just me not seeing anything!! LOL

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

LOL, Sharon & Nan, me too, gotta get some laundry goin' lol. Those are Pekin ducks -- I think. Though Canadian Geese do visit us here from time to time.

Oooh I can't help it, but who is this elusive one?

Thumbnail by Lily_love
Marlton, NJ

I can't see it real well (lol) but maybe male House Finch?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Pelle, thanks. I think that it's! House finches, does that explain why they love to sneak into my house? Well I've a small greenhouse to the side of the garage which these little guys/gals are often found and get chased back outside. lol.

Marlton, NJ

They are pretty brave.

Here is an American Goldfinch jumping off the shepheards hook down towards the feeder.

Watch out! That first step is a doozy!!

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

Pelletory:

That shot should have been up in the section where they ask for captions...

The main thing I'm glad is the bird didn't decide to life his tail feather and end up mooning you while you were trying to get its pictures.....rofl.....
