AWFUL PICS Vol. 7

Wilmar, AR(Zone 8a)

I know what you mean, wbbw! I had been seeing this one perched on this line almost everyday before the GBBC but during that week I never saw it! :[

Mariaville, ME(Zone 5a)

this one is just for fun.... that is my 8 yo's hand in the shot... not that it is such a bad shot, but as you see my birds are pretty spoiled!!!

Cool!!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Fabuluous!!!

Woodbridge, VA

Good morning everyone! How did you get your little Chickadees to come to your eight year old? That had to be such a thrill for him (or her) to have that happen. BTW, is that "Peanut Butter Deluxe" on a stick?
:-)
A blessed day is wished for all.

I don't get that either. It's very cool, and I wish I could do it. My birds don't want me within 10 feet of them. I've seen people hand feed hummers too. If I even breathe too hard, the hummers disappear. I really don't get it, but I congratulate you on taming your birds or being bird whisperers or whatever -- very impressive.

Woodbridge, VA

Hi Elphaba! "Bird Whisperer" That's a hoot!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

You know guys some of your bad pictures are pretty darn good!!

We pulled over on the side of the highway to catch this hawk and my husband said "tell me when your ready and I'll roll down the window", never did get to tell him!

LOL...luv!! Here is my Red-shouldered Hawk I believe, from yesterday evening!!

Those hawk shots are great. Luv, even though it's not quite focused, it's still really cool looking! I just had a Northern Harrier fly by and I didn't get the picture at all, so mine is the worst shot!

Woodbridge, VA

"Look up in the sky; I mean out at the tree!" Mrs. Cardinal (at three o'clock) is flying out of the pic. This is bound to take #1 in BAD photos! LOL

LOL...almost missed her!!

Marlton, NJ

Great shot Maine!

Chesapeake, VA(Zone 7b)

A truely awful pic. There are a couple of birds in there... really.

But being the "crazybirdlady" is so much fun! ;)) LOL
I've actually fallen off my front steps in an attempt to take a picture of a bird!

Chesapeake, VA(Zone 7b)

LOL. I KNOW that is what the neighbors think of me.. I don't care either. :)

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

If for some reason I don't have my camera with me, people ask where it is!

Some bad geese

'Oh what big eyes you have!!!" Usually, timouse is pretty swift. It would come to the feeder, picks out what it wanted, then flies off. But this one, lately will stand around as if it was showing its gratitude that I fill up the feeder promptly when it become depleted every time. lol.

It picked out a seed ...looking this way ...

Lily, Those pics are nice! Titmouse are one of my top favorites!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Lily, I think your pics are good too!!

I swear this Woodpecker had a head when I shot it!

They're full of personalities, aren't they Pelletory? I love them, love their look, their call their personality. lol

But then again, I love all 'birds' even these water chickens; the American coots. :-)

Thanks all for the compliments; even though, most of my pix came out blurry, I'm glad I was able to capture them.

Here is a sweet one, the great heron likes to come here for breakfast, the coots also stay nearby. They seem to coexist quite nicely.

Very, very nice! Yes you need to get most of yours in the Daily Pics thread. Great job!

LOL luvs!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Oh, thanks Pelle. I may do just that tomorrow. :-) Good night.

Renton, WA

When someone was worried about a hawk down a day or so ago,
I went looking for a simular picture ....
must of deleted the on the ground one spread out and it was
a bad picture anyways but saved the second one where it
flew to the fence but unfortunately I had a little camera
taking bad tele-pics and got this-- would of been a
good one.

Neat!

Like your bad geese nanny.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Well thank you pelle!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Oooh that is almost a really great shot dirt!

I really hate it when a hawk lands right above me and I still don't get the shot. This is the behind of a Cooper's Hawk in my Sweet Gum tree.

Thumbnail by Elphaba
Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Then he went to a neighbor's tree where I could see him, but he was just too far away.

Thumbnail by Elphaba
Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Then I tried to get a shot while he was flying away. Hahahaha -- what was I thinking? I swear there is a wing in the bottom right of this photo.
