OOOO, spring, time to get back to work!!! I have three fairly mature plants which I put in late last summer, given to me by friends (so I don't know which cultivars, etc. they might be). Somewhere I got the idea that one or all of them should be cut back in spring, but I can't find my original resource. Can anyone give me guidance?
What I know for identification is:
Buddleja, Lamiaceae Agastache, & Zebrinus sinensis ‘Zebrinus’
Cutting back zebra grass, agastache & butterfly bush
My butterfly bush and agastache get pruned in the fall after the blooms are gone.Zebra grass I leave till spring for winter interest. The butterfly bush is one of the last things to come back after winter.I always think its dead.Just about the time I've given up on it,it always starts to send up new shoots.Edge
Thanks Edge, especially for the warning about the butterfly bush!
