THey ARE pretty...hard to believe you are almost done with summer...

Thanks Pelle. Nanny, I never thought I'd be glad to see the end of summer, but believe me, I am.

I had a bad focus day and additionally the birds were in amongst foliage, but here there's an adult on the left, two young ones and another adult about to land with a bee in its beak. Don't try looking for the bee. You'll be doing well to see the birds.

Well done, Pelle. One day I'll manage to get a shot of one in flight that is semi decent, but this will give an idea of how gorgeous their undersides are.

Thanks. Glad you like them. I shot more than 800 shots of them today. Most of them were of the male. Here is one taken when he finally sat still for a minute.

Beautiful pics Dave. Are you sure you have not had that camera surgically implanted? 800 shots? Wow!

Actually, GP, I was using three cameras. Here's one of the female as she dives from the fence.

You got one heck of a zoom.

Look at him in your flight photos and they are incredibly closely details.

LOL. Okay, that was so funny Seedtosser! We never get tired of Dave's bluebird photos, but sometimes it's nice to be reminded of how special it was to see them for the very first time!
