I have several azaleas that have brown areas. I don't know what is causing the leaves to die. These are on 2 sides of the house so they are not all side by side. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Azaleas are turning brown
I wonder if it might be cold damage? I know a lot of areas have had some unusually cold weather this winter, and even though azaleas are hardy to zones lower than yours, all of a sudden having much colder than usual temperatures still might be able to do some damage. Cold damage will often take a little while to show up so it won't necessarily look bad the day after the cold snap, sometimes takes a few weeks before you really realize the extent of the damage. I think there are also some fungal root problems that can cause symptoms like that, but I don't know what azaleas are typically susceptible to.
