Mike's new favorite place to eat is Jack in the Box... of all places.
He's heard all about it from one of his teachers at school... and I got coupons in the mail that he's been anxious to use... so, tonight I took him to Jack in the Box... and he's hooked.

BJ, you think that pavers made the house too yellow? Hmm.. looks fine to me, but then I love anything that's Provencal. Red roofs, red bricks, yellow walls.... But if you decide to repaint it white, it will of course be lovely too.

Thanks Jaye... we've all been kind of proud of her art work too... but let one of us try to get a painting for Christmas or Birthday... and we'll be trying for our whole lives... I once pulled a pencil sketching she did in college out of the trash, and asked her what was wrong with it... she framed it and gave it to me for Christmas... 30 years ago.

I do have a tea set she painted, though... guess I should be grateful.

Oh, and something else... those blue dishes in the painting on the home page... those are a painting of the dishes that my uncle sent to my mom during WWII... My sister still has that set of dishes.

BJ, if I'm right those dishes are similar to what my mom had. Hers was a complete tea set, with dragon motifs, also called dragonware lithopane. She was presented with a set in the early 50's. My youngest sister inherited that.
I remember as a child, always looking into the empty teacups and I'd see a geisha face smiling back at me.

Well this being a short Sale the house is empty and they want to close by the 10th of April so I could move in than Haven't told my landlord yet I want to make sure I have a place to live And nothing in my lease said that I can not leave before it ends but a 30 day written notice so I may find out more buy tomorrow.
I am so scared but it will be fine
My phone has not stopped ringing With my Mother I love her dearly but she is driving me Nuts with all her questions so than I get up set
But its the first time I am buying a house and I no she is worryed but at the rate she going I will be living in my car cause nothing is safe for her HA HA
Well I did do some transplanting today of my Houseplants so that kept me sane . I am not thinking all the time about the House HA HA

Jaye, sorry about the headache, I have been on the verge of one all day.....Bill's a bit miffed cause I didn't go to spin class tonight....I have done little except sleep today...I did go over to Laura's long enough for us to get Sages bed and dresser dealt with. She now has a place to sleep, and place to put her clothes and her game system set up. She and Laura walked down to the market and got groceries....stopped by here to borrow a back pack and pick up Sages movie and her stuffed kitty on the way home......I didn't have to drive!!!!

BJ your sisters art is incredible! I would love to get back to painting one of these days...I am not that good at it, but is relaxing and I enjoy it. Laura and plan to go back to work on setting up a studio as soon as we get her house unpacked. Now that they are less than a five minute walk from my house we can do a lot of things!!
I agree with Jaye......I think the path and the house look fantastic....I love the colors!!
Am so sorry Mike discovered Jack in the Box. Yes......Crap in the Box, Kentucky Fried Rat are a few of the names....especially since I managed to lose a bit of weight we don't do fast food except for a few things they have at Taco Time occasionally.....took too long to get it off and I don't want to go back there again....still have too much to get rid of as it is.

I know Spring is almost here now....the good Asparagus is showing up at the stores!!! Think we are having an Asparagus Fritata for dinner....that's my version of fast food...about fifteen minutes......fritata, salad and bread....doesn't get much better than that!

I have no clue what her price range is for her art... I've never asked her. She's quite accomplished, so I'm sure it's pretty pricey... but I want her to give me some for special occations... free. Cause, I'm cheap.

Jaye... I'm not sure where the set came from... I was thinking Japan, but that doesn't sound right since Uncle Bob might not have been there during WWII... I don't think Japan would have been safe then. Might have been the Philippians, or over somewhere in the South Pacific.

Thank you for all your comments on the pathway. I've taken pictures all day to send to Don... he's in Pittsburgh till Thursday, and he's called me a doz times to find out what they're doing NOW... I've emailed him pics all day, and shown you most of them. It's driving him nuts that he's not here to see it. It'll all be done when he gets home.

Kim, if a mother doesn't worry over her kids, then she's not doing the mental part of her job!!! Yep, you will definitely have room for more plants and able to 'permanently' have an outside garden.

BJ, before the war, Japan had been exporting their china overseas, especially to their Asian neighbours. Old Japan's china too was called Nippon ware. They are quite valuable now. If I'm into collecting china... I definitely will start with that.

Trisha, you would never believe how happy I am in reading that Laura conveniently lives only 5 minutes walking distance from you!!! If you two were to set up a studio, I bet it would be pretty soon have its' walls lined up with great clay sculptures.

Well I actually can breath alittle better this morning so Im hoping this means Im on the road to feeling better.. My friend is so goofy she called my neighbor las night and had him go to her house and she sent him here with Pepsi, chicken broth and noodles.. :) She doent drive and Im not sure how she talked him into it but was greatful.. Think Im going to warm some broth and try it out before I go putting anything solid in me today.. Still very tired so Im hoping one more day of sleep will help..

Drumroll please...last night Bill and I went to Mason to check on a pond that was on the Barter list on Craig's List. She wanted landscape work traded for a pond kit. She said she believes the kit is for a 20x20 pond. Never been touched. Well, she did unroll the underlayment fabric. She wanted work done that Bill wasn't willing to do. She had a fence in a tree line and wanted it all taken down. They are moving in May. To make a long story short. She came down on her original asking price of the pond kit and it is MINE!!! We will take her the money tonight and get what we can. The sweet thing is she has a pile of humongo rocks that she is throwing in. They remind me of these rocks from one of the ponds from the Cinci Pond Tour.

Well... Don is on his way home this morning. I must have mis-read his schedule... thought he wasn't coming home till tomorrow. So, I'll be pretty busy today after he gets home... I've really got to get some housework done before it would just be easier to move than to clean. We have 80% chance of rain today, so staying inside shouldn't be a problem. The temp also dropped into the 40's last night, and it's not suppose to warm up for a few days.

Bonnie... I've never tried a netti pot, but I hear they really work. If I ever do get a bad sinus problem, I will get me one.

Im seriously getting the itch for some and they dont grow wild down here like they do up there and I know time is comming soon..

She is the one who stayed with us for a few months to get back on her feet ( a couple of times) but I think she finally has figured out that she can be on her own without a man and be happy.. I'm sorry about everyone's headaches. My goodness! I woke up this morning and my neck is in a crick from my left ear all the way down into my left shoulder blade. If it would just pop!

Well my next door neighbors husband didn't come home again last night, which is good as she doesn't want him there anyway. Last night was the 3rd night. She was out in the garage doing something last night at 10:00, hopefully cleaning up his crap for him to pick up and take it with him.

Thanks Donna... but you don't understand... Don doesn't care what the house looks like... it's just gotten to the point that if I don't catch up now, it'll be beyond control... it's at the nasty stage.
Funny how this works... last year I was sick, and didn't feel like getting out and doing any of the heavy stuff outside... my house stayed cleaner... NOW I feel great, and can't stay indoors to clean the house...

And, of course now my yard and front flower beds are all tore up, and need more attention... it'll never end.
