FYI there is a new thread (thanks for starting it Lynn) regarding the August PNW Round-Up http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/962968/
Weird weather of '09.......#6
Rainy, windy and wet all day today. Just a really cold nasty day. But no snow, so that was good. I stayed in and watched 2 movies. Imagine that 2 in one day. LOL
Trisha....love that picture, like the trim too, and the icicles.
Arctostaphylos uva-ursi
Bearberry, Kinnikinick
This herb is relatively safe, however large doses may cause nausea, and it has the strange side effect of turning the urine green (Ody).

just in time for St.Paddy's.
stickin lousy rain and wind and sleet.
pretty setting and church.
now THAT's Irish
We have a florist at the shopping area near our house.....they decorate this lady appropriately for each holiday..... I have started trying to keep a photo record of all her different "Attire"...
Pretty cool. One of my DH's students found a green bowtie that lights up, so guess what he'll be sporting tomorrow - along with a green shirt and pants. No wonder the kids love him. They roll their eyes sometimes too.
lol.... I would have thought that you DH was a great teacher. Any teacher that could keep me entertained for the duration of class was a great teacher!!
His winter-time bowtie has snowflakes with holes in the middle that he strung some blinking lights. At least they're battery operated and he doesn't have to be tethered to the outlet. LOL He likes bowties.
lol.... that's awesome! He reminds me of my physics teacher, bow tie and all. Although, my physics teacher didn't were ties with lights unless it was an actual holiday. lol
Lol.... thanks Tilly! I'm jealous of your sun!! so far that hasn't shown up today. But maybe it's coming? Hopefully before nightfall!
those are great Tilly, especially the last one!
lol. Great Tilly! at least i'm not the only one crazy enough to do that! Although, I've seen some from a few other folks that I know had to be taken near ground level as well. you know who you are !! :-p
Really nice pictures Tils. serefyn hasn't gotten back to me yet.
Nice Tilly! I can't believe that your lupines are up already!!
Let's go for Thursday or Friday anyway. Maybe it will be warmer. Either day you wish. Let me know.
They are so trying, that is my purple one. The only things that go in that area are purple. That is my Purple Haze Garden.
Willow, I will let you know when I get back tomorrow hopefully with a car, as of right now, the only thing I have to drive is a big truck (with a brake problem ,Which I can drive if weather is nice). My Bros wagon is broke and he took back the little car I was driving, and he has to go to work. Wo Is Me I hate losing mine LOL
that's funny Tilly.... I posted a very similar picture to you columbine about a week ago in a different thread. I think it was a different thread? lol.
This is getting a bit long
