I'm amazed at how long the main root is.

I was trying my best to be carefull but I think I felt a couple of the roots snap when I pushed them down. Time will tell.

And this is the house that John built. Ok, not as nice as yours but it's still fun just playin' with plants.

And the door came with plastic already on it. Wow.

Just goes to show you don't need alot to get started.

"johnny" looking good! if you water the mix that you are going to transplant then poke a hole with a dowel. it helps to not hurt as many roots but you will still have some break. but looking great to me. love the Ghouse looks good" as some one once said. "doesn't matter what it looks like as log as it gets the job done." but IMO it looks great! "whitebear" thanks for the pics.

Good to hear about you boy WB. I made some homemade icecream last night. I think by the time it gets to you he'll be able to slurp it with a straw.

No, the neighbors can't see my porch, just passing cars. The porch faces SW so I start getting sun hitting the side with the door at about 9:30. It stays that way untill sunset.

In the dead of winter the sun is so low it hits the plastic more directly, creating a ton of heat. I open the bay windows and put in a fan to draw the hot air into the house. During the day my furnace doesn't run at all.

Now as the sun is getting higher in the sky, the porch doesn't get as hot, which is good.

The transplants are looking really good this morning. If they make it through the day they should be ok.

JB

Gentry, AR

sounds perfect on your greenhouse JB and me and my son are here waiting with our straws. lol

Gentry, AR

thanks "cathy4" thanks ice-worm" my wife and momma seems to like it.lol but both wife and mom hate the hat, so i told them i was putting it in my will that i was to be buried with it. i could be 100 out side and me sweeting like a pig and i will still have it on even though its leather. oh and i got it at a garage sale for a dollar about 10 or 11 years ago. "i love my hat"

Concord, CA(Zone 9a)

What a nice friendly face you have. The only problem I would have with the hat would be at the dinner table.
