Indoor Flower Plants

CA, United States

Indoor gardening is just as fun as having an outdoor garden. In fact, indoor plants act as a quick decorating tool.

I’m just looking for beautiful indoor flower plants.

Please pass on your tips and ideas.
Thanks in advance.!!

Vicksburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Peace lily (low light), hoya (various varieties), begonias, and crown of thorns are just a few that come to mind. I'm sure others will come along with more ideas.

Dublin, CA(Zone 9a)

What sort of light do you have in the locations where you'll be putting your plants?

Conneaut, OH(Zone 5a)

african violets and orchids always get me through the long and snow infested winter.

Impatiens are my favorite, growing in a bright sunny window. I keep it on the dry side, rotate once a week and feed it with a weak fertilizer once a month to keep the gorgeous blooms going. I also grow the peace lily, begonias and african violets.

Thank you so much for your useful advise and tips..

I see you're from CA. I took home a piece of baby sun rose from my sisters CA garden, grew it outside for summer, and kept it inside for winter as 4 houseplants. It averages 4 blooms per pot per day. Google it.- aptenia cordifolia. It also trails nicely across the windowsill with shiny leaves.

Another outdoor plant you can do inside is 'purple heart' tradescantia it has small pink blooms and nice purple leaves.

Tiny barely there flowers can be found on string of hearts- google it.

Nothing I have outblooms a violet tho....
