Yes, I know that ladybugs are our garden friends, and as a child I knew the little poem and tenderly exited many from indoors to help the plants......BUT......here in Tennessee we are PLAGUED....summer AND winter with ladybugs in the house! I have heard that these beetles aren't true ladybugs, but some "foreigner" who has invaded. They are all different colors of gold, orange and red, with different "dots".
Here in February, they crawl or fly inside - by the dozens.
In warmer weather, HUNDREDS blanket the screens, crawl all over the walls and ceilings (which are 20 feet high). When we first built this house on five+ acres, and started gardening, I swept the ladybugs up in the vacumm - and saved them for outdoors. But it is we who need saving now! Please help with an organic recipe, for we have many wild birds and animals around the farm. Bless You!
Ladybug infestation
We had the same thing and we went to Lowes bought this jug of Ortho stuff that specified Asian Beetles, the jug comes with a pump thingy and hose attached to it.OMG it's the best stuff. No more of those dang things in my house.Might get one or two here and there ,but before they would dive bomb you.Couldn't even eat in the house. We sprayed inside and out and this summer coming up will be the third summer and we are almost free of them.
