trying to find a flower - very unusual

Hamtramck, MI

I was going to garage sales a couple years ago, and this family had a most unusual plant right up against the foundation of the house, next to their driveway. It was about 18" tall or a little more, tapered like a christmas tree shape, but it had quite pretty deep green leaves and circular rows of white flowers jutting out from the leaves, that looked sort of like a cross between a trumpet & petunia. The white flowers had 3 or 4 lengthwise stripes in them.

I'm 49 years old and I've never seen this before or since.

Does anyone have any idea of what this is? Thank you.

Las Vegas, NV

it could be ' foxglove ' or ' lupines ' or ' gladiolus'. all have Christmas tree shape and foxglove and glads. have circular cylinder- like or school- bell shaped blooms and come in many color variations. Lastly, perhaps a small ' angel trumpet ?' Hope this helps. best of luck. G
