I had some of this a couple of years ago in a hanging basket. It was a true Marigold, it cascaded over the edge of the pot and had a trailing habit, finer foliage than most Marigolds, not at all upright, with small bright yellow flowers.
Pinetree gardens had some seed about that same time in their clearance section but it was off season and I didn't buy it thinking I could easily find it when I wanted it, but noooOOOoooo. I have not been able to find a seed source yet.
Does anybody know where I can get some of this?
Trailing Marigold?
Are these the ones your looking for?

The habit of the foliage on some of those looks close, but the flowers aren't quite right. They're not as plain as that. They're not the big round puffballs you see on a lot of hybrid marigolds, they're not as ruffled and puffy as the carnation or anemone varieties, but they're not really fully single either.
Rats rats rats, LOL! Driving me nuts! I REALLY wish I'd gone ahead and bought the stuff from Pinetree Gardens when it was on clearance even though it was off season.
I even tried to call today to ask about it but the phone was busy every time I tried.
Thanks for trying to help.
