I would like to find a plant with long stems of berries to cut and use in bouquets. Anyone know what plant might be my best bet?
Want stems of berries for bouquets, what should I plant?
Not sure how resilient they are off the bush but I love Beautyberry
Not a 'stem' but Nandina are lovely and long lasting (but invasive so don't let any berries stay on the ground--the birds avoid them)
Hypericum (St. Johnswort) is a popular choice for floral arrangements. Several new cultivars have just been released under the name the "Mystical Series" and they supposedly produce really good sets of berries. Check them out at this site http://www.novalisinc.com/PlantsThatWork/Exclusives.aspx and type "Hypericum" into the keyword search field.
