I have a Heliconia Rostrata and it has been damaged by the cold winter. Do I cut the canes dow to the ground. Thank you so much your help.

Heliconia Rostrata
When it comes to cold damaged plants I never cut them back until all chance of further cold weather is past. If you cut things back too soon then they can start to sprout new growth which will be even more sensitive if you get another surprise cold snap. Once spring does come I'm not sure what the best thing is to do with Heliconias--hopefully someone who grows them will have some advice for you.
