Actually there was another one too, Allison. Three in three weeks!
I can feel Spring!!
I didn't feel that one either
LOL
guess after that 3.0 one... anything smaller doesn't even catch my attention... I think because they are blasting a cliff out on route 80.... to move the falling rocks away from the roadway... and we can hear the booms all day long
I remember the one in '85 very well. Was a 5.0. Early in the morning. The cats did nor know where to run!
I felt that one at my mom's place... it was weaker when it got out to us ... I didn't know where to run either ... ran to my mom's room freaking out... asked her what was going on... and her knee jerk mom mode kicked in and said she didn't know and go back to bed
LOL
Funny. Yes, I was still at home too. My brother was driving on the Grand Central. He said that was really weird.
I bet that would be strange... driving and feeling that... I don't remember what month it was but I was either in 8th grade or just starting high school... and I had a porcelain cat face on my wall... (wanted to be in the play cats).... it was jingling like crazy
October. Actually it was a 4.0, not 5.0.
just started high school then
i am of scottish decent and have many relatives in Canada and THEY all have an accent!
I am of mostly Scottish decent and have no accent whatsoever, naturally. Now the Scots are barely understandable to me!
i will agree with that!
Contagious?
My nephew always makes fun of my Jooisey accent. He always makes me say "coffee" for him.
For awhile my sisters kids had no accent being military brats they weren't in an area long enough to get an accent but now being in FL for a few years they are actually starting to get a southern twang.
Actually, I think accents are contagious!
Michaela, I too am a Canadian of Scottish decent , which Clan are you from? Mine is the Douglas Clan.
Kirk?
Very funny!
Elephants on our Crest I think, and the plaid of the kilt it green, blue, black and white if my memory is working right.
I'm from the Gambino clan.
MacDonald clan - i understand there are two - i'm from the better one :)

The one Ronald is from?

Family crest has arches?
MacLamont here. Black, blue, yellow and white - quite dull. Nice for a tie.
Miss Mary Mac here.
my family's crest is red/green/black plad - there is a cross on the upper left and a white mountain maybe and two red urns on that - can't really tell what the white thing is
Real Scot men build stone walls wearing kilts with only a breeze under it.
Of course I am mostly not Scottish.
DH is Douglas & Lindsay. Douglas has the heart, because of robert the bruce. Lindsay has a swan. My scottish ancesters were lowlanders who considered the highlanders barbarians. I remind DH every once in awhile. Just got a book from History Book club on tracing scottish ancestors. I am letting him read it first, I'm still working on Samuel Adams bio.
was someone video taping me and now its all over the internet?
I keep working on Sam Adams brew.
Watch those up-kilt shots, Bill.
Iris that sounds like a interesting book!
is that the john adams book by mcmullough? i've read that one and it is very good - they based the hbo series on adams on that book.
i have meacham's - american lion on andrew jackson that is next after i finish boys will be boys about the 90's cowboys team - that one is not for women - trust me
This is about Sam Adams, I have read the John Adams one. Very well done, better than the movie I bet.
I remember Grizzly Adams... ^_^
he he Sam is John's older cousin & pre revolutionary war politician. He was one of the people the British army was after at Lexington along with the gunpowder stored in Concord.
NE accent test:
Say "Peter ate some pita"
If both ends sound the same, you're probably from NY
If it sounds like you said it backwards, your near Boston. (I'll never understand why they can't say the "R" in Peter but can pronounce the "R" in pita)
