I can feel Spring!!

North Augusta, ON

Was just outside, for the first time in many months I can feel the heat from the sun!!

How glorious!!!

If the wind is blowing it disappears!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

Yay me too!! I noticed some trees stems turning that reddish color they turn. Also a couple buds on my pussywillow have opened a little. : ) It's in a nice warm spot close to my drier vent. But still! : )

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

The sun is doing what it's supposed to these days!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I have daffs poking up.

Not fair.... Nothing even waking up yet.

South Hamilton, MA

Foliage on the daffs in front of the stone wall is breaking the ground. This on the north side of the driveway, a location that is always ahead of the south side for some reason. Maybe because it is on a very small rise of ground.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Nothing here yet either. There are some large areas out front that are bare of snow finally though and you can feel the warmth in the sunlight even on cold temp days. There was actual mud in spots yesterday. A real step forward.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lots of bulb foliage up. Only snowdrop blooms so far.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Not here yet...and def does not feel like spring today.brrrrr very cold and damp.
But the sun is setting later so that's what I really like.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Someone in FL posted pictures of an azalea bush in bloom! :)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that's cruel

North Augusta, ON

Not so spring like today, snowing like blazes, can't see the ground anymore :(

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Yuck! I like the azalea fantasy better. :)

North Augusta, ON

hehe...it is really pretty though, big fluffy flakes, sticking to everything.

The poor mans fertilizer?

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

That's what they say, I think it is just to keep us all from going crazy this time of year. Think positive! ........Really I positively hate the idea of any more snow. :)

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm with you - NO MORE SNOW. Positively NOT!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

You're kidding Dave47 and Victor! We still have snow here - I expect it will be a couple of weeks before the snow disappears enough for the first bulbs to start poking through. . .

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Here's the proof.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Oh break my heart, why don't you!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I have foliage only.
We lost our snow and are getting rain today. My gues is a lot of you (NJ,MA) have them under the snow

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice!

South Hamilton, MA

Yes we still have it.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Foliage poking through here too.

North Augusta, ON

6 inches of new snow and still falling...

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Poor baby. (((Lee Anne)))

North Augusta, ON

(sniffle, whine)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Well one of the cool things about Mother Nature is that she somewhat makes up for the long winters for you guys in the north by providing more hours of daylight in the summer.

North Augusta, ON

true, but I'm not sure it's a fair trade...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Beggars can't be choosers! Spring will get to you.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

snow just arrived today... oh so not funny... but I rather have it all white again since all looks so dirty...

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

I feel so dirty.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Pretty, white snow?

Hey! It's raining here - not snowing! That's a good sign, right?

South Hamilton, MA

Rain has moved out to see. busy falling all night. Hope that it doesn't freeze.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

More melting today, I like it. Snow go away!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

No melting here - was cold!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It used to be where I used to live that the first robin you saw was the 1st sign of spring....not down here where I've seen them a few times thru the winter...well I saw 2 flocks of them today 1 at someone's house and then another in an open field. Def not an indicator of spring today.

South Hamilton, MA

Our weather changed to non melting snow. More on Sunday?
